I was in a bar and found myself standing near a cute girl who was dancing with some guy. I wanted to observe for a few seconds to see if they were experiencing a love connection or not before I made a move. I must have taken too long because when I was about to open my mouth, the girl’s fat friend gets in front of me and says, “You want her, don’t you? You so want her. She’s hot isn’t she?”

She said it with such disdain. It put me on the spot and I didn’t have a good comeback. I said, “No hablo ingles,” a terribly weak response. I simply wasn’t prepared.

Even after the fact, there wasn’t an obvious correct move. If I say yes then I show my cards right away, but if I say no then I set myself up for something like, “So why are you looking at her? Why are you talking to her? It’s obvious you like her.”

This cockblock was so effective that I had a dream about it. After some thinking I adapted it for use on other guys. If a guy is moving in on a girl you are interested in, ask him, “Do you like her?” Your tone will be neutral, like you are just curious.

If he says yes then you can put him in a weak position by saying, “Well you should buy her a drink then!” If he buys her a drink then he’s just another beta in the bar and if he doesn’t buy her a drink then it looks awkward because he just verbally admitted his affection for her.

If he says he doesn’t like her or weasels out of answering, then say, “Well there are a lot of girls here. I’m sure you will find someone who you like if you keep trying. Don’t give up!” He’s done. It’s like you are giving him relationship advice.

He is going to scramble and say something like, “Oh, um, I’m not here to pick up girls.” Now he just put his dick in a box. Without even raising your voice or having to get tough, you can suck the game out of any guy with very simple word plays. This technique worked on me even though I spend the bulk of my time thinking about these things.

It’s okay to get bitched in the field. But it’s not okay to get bitched in the same way twice. A great thing about experience is that you put yourself in a lot of situations that you will see more than once. Your down time is spent thinking about how to react for the next time it happens, because chances are it will.

That’s all it means to have “tight” game—to be ready for whatever is thrown at you. It’s about refining and improving what you do even if a line or technique “works.”

So I thought about what to say the next time a fat girl asks me if I like her friend. I’ll say, “Why do you ask, do you want me to like her? Because I like everyone!” Then I’ll put my arms around both girls and say how I’m having a great time. All this is done with a huge smile on my face. I want to squash her negativity with a fun party vibe that makes her look really bad if she continues cockblocking. I think this is much better than saying “I don’t speak English” in Spanish. And if this doesn’t work, I’ll just think of something else.

It’s through this experimentation mindset that I went from being a chump who didn’t get laid to the guy that pissed off other guys in the clubs. I’m sure they thought.. “How is THAT guy talking to her?” (If you’ve seen my picture you’ll see I look more like a mountain man than stereotypical hot stud). Before then I couldn’t get laid to save my life, but I was dedicated and put myself out in the field, experimenting on everything from approaching girls and talking to them to when to call and what types of places to take out on dates.

How To Handle Flakes by Roosh

I estimate about 20% of attractive girls are flakes. This means she is the type who is wishy-washy about making plans, slow to return phone calls, and prone to cancelling dates at the last minute. How much time and energy you should put into her until you cut your losses and walk away?

It will seem like a huge accomplishment if you bang a flake because of all the hurdles she put you through prior to sex, but you’ll still experience a nagging feeling that doesn’t allow you to enjoy the success as much as you should. It’s because the flake is controlling the frame. She is getting what she wants at the pace she wants while you are mostly tagging along for the ride.

She turns you into a puppy dog that is grateful scraps were put out.

Compare that to banging a girl who follows your rules and your lead. She drives to your house to cook for you, she takes off her clothes when you tell her to, and she calls you after sex and tries to set up the next date. You enjoy the sex and the process to get there, which, in theory, is how it should be.

It’s hard to define a strategy that works well with flakes. Some flakes seem to respond if you chase them, others respond if you don’t. But the most optimal strategy will preserve your alpha status while leading to success. That means you have to be cool and not drool over her, and pull back when she does to let her know that you have other things going on.

In the end the flake has to make the decision to stop flaking in order to allow the seduction to continue. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop her from flaking besides staying confident and non-needy. While a passive approach to the game in general will lead to less results, I believe this is the best way to deal with a girl who is pulling away from you more than coming in.

After a while of no contact, which often occurs with flakes, throw some bait here or there in the form of an email, random call, Facebook message, or party invite, but don’t make it seem like it is important you get with her. You don’t want her to think that you’re even sexually interested, which is one reason why she flakes in the first place. The main idea is to be “breezy.”

It will be inevitable that you play a good game where you get some action short of sex, but she simply won’t allow you to take things to the next level. If you’ve exhausted all other reasonable options, you will have to make the decision to fold your cards and walk away. Cut her off and don’t respond to her obvious attempts to keep the attention train rolling. By rejecting women in this way, for flaking or not doing what you want, your mind over time will begin to project high value with future girls you meet. Since we only turn down what is beneath us, we trick our brain into thinking desirable women possess less value than we have.

In other words you will never have to explain to other girls that you’ve turned down desirable women (a trait possessed by the most successful men), because they can feel it in the way you talk and act.

You may be thinking, “Well, I will get less notches if I don’t pursue those flakes.” This is possible but there has to be a balance between your happiness level and sexual variety, where you are having sex with the women you want but enjoying it in a low stress way, minimizing the bullshit that makes you think less of the game.

If you are a game newbie, it’s not a bad idea to pursue a couple flakes for educational purposes to observe and learn from their behavior, but not because you see her as something long-term who can provide you with happiness. It’s extremely rare that a flake will make for a nice long-term relationship.

How To Seem More Confident Than You Really Are

In Bang there’s a section about the two ways to increase your confidence (starts on page XX). I don’t have anything to add to that short list, but I have found a way that a girl can PERCEIVE you as more confident.

Imagine you are a girl for a second and you’re in some bar drinking with your girlfriends. Guys come up to you all the time, some with decent game but some with tired “What are you drinking?” game. What is the one thing that would tell you a guy knows what he’s doing, has probably had a lot of girls, and can give you both emotional and physical pleasure?

Boldness.

Let me explain with a story.

I was at a bar when I started talking to a cute girl. I sat down on a bar stool to face her and sat so our legs were touching. After 10 minutes of conversation, I made it seem like I just noticed her bracelets and starting touching them. Then I noticed some drink spilled on her jeans, and started “rubbing” it out. She quickly hit my hand away.

Even though I was surprised, I pretended nothing happened and continued our conversation. Then five minutes later, I just started poking her thigh while she was talking. That’s when she started giving commentary on my pickup..

“I saw you here the other night talking to girls. I have a feeling you hit on a lot of girls and you do this all the time.” I just said I was “outgoing” and “friendly,” with a smirk of course.

She knows that this is what I do, that I hit on girls like herself every night. But she cannot tell her brain to stop feeling attraction for a desirable man. I am a desirable male because she THINKS I do this all the time and that I’m successful at it (why else would I be bold?). And she thinks I do this all the time simply because I’m touching her early and in ways other guys are too scared to do.

I made out with her before I got her number, after a total time of 30 minutes or so of talking to her. Keep in mind this was from a girl who hit my hand away when I started touching her.

Being bold screams confidence, because it tells the girl that you are NOT AFRAID and have done this before. She will think, “Who does he think he is touching me so early in the conversation?” “Look how close his face is getting to mine. What makes him think he will kiss me tonight?” The answer in her head will be something like, “Because he knows what he’s doing and has succeeded at it before.”

And here’s the beautiful part: she will have no idea what your past is, no idea how many women you really did sleep with or didn’t. All it takes is one trait—boldness—to be the man she wants to sleep with right now.

This means that even if you have zero confidence, just sucking it up and trying to push the boundaries to get closer sooner than you think you can, you actually increase the chance that you will get a make-out or sex. Weird how things work.

Just a few years ago the approach itself would scream boldness and be an attractant in its own right, but we’ve entered the age of pick-up where any Joe Schmo who lost his virginity is peddling an ebook and robot monkeys are approaching girls with the tired “Who lies more” opener. A cute girl has been approached hundreds of times by the time you get to her, so now it’s early touching and kissing will give the boldness effect.

Before I got into the game, that wouldn’t make any sense to me. I’d wait very patiently for obvious green lights and only then would I proceed with caution. But the more experience I got (going on a decade now), the more impatient I became, and the sooner I started going for it. And it worked. Not only did I get more, but I got it much quicker.

Now I’m pretty spoiled. If I don’t get a makeout within 30 minutes or so, I think something is wrong… WITH HER. The only time I get numbers now without make-outs is when I simply ran out of time.

How To Pick Up Girls Who Have Boyfriends by Roosh

I’m going to skip the whole moral argument that you shouldn’t hit on a girl who has a boyfriend. If you don’t believe in hitting on girls who have boyfriend then that’s cool, otherwise read on.

First, don’t even bother with newly engaged or married girls. I think you’ll have better chances with a nun than a girl who just made a huge commitment with another man. It takes at least a few months for that to wear out.

That leaves two other types of girls with boyfriends: ones that are unhappy and ones that are neither unhappy nor quite ecstatic either. The best way to find out what type of girl you are dealing with is the length of time it takes until she drops the boyfriend.

The longer amount of time until she drops the bomb, the better. It’s best if she doesn’t mention the boyfriend at all and you learn from a third party. Think about that for a second… if a girl is happy with her man, he will keep popping up in her head, leading to a large amount of guilt when talking to a player she is attracted to. She attempts to relieve this guilt by mentioning him as much as possible in the conversation.

The sooner she mentions him and the more times she mentions him, the less likely you will get anywhere. This should be your guide to see if you should commit to gaming a girl with a boyfriend, especially since they will take more work than a single girl.

On the other hand if it takes a girl over 20 minutes for her to drop the boyfriend, consider her breakable. Now combine that with her engaging you, making eye contact, asking your questions, and touching you. The more she does any of these things, the less issue the boyfriend is and more you can proceed as you normally do.

It takes a little experience to tell between the girls who flirt just to feel attractive and girls who want to get banged by a new dick, but you’ll know for sure when you go to number or kiss close; one will put up Great Wall of China resistance and the other will only offer token resistance.

If the approach is going well and things are progressing past the thirty minute mark, just keep doing what you’re doing and go for the kiss on the same night. When you get in close she will make a verbal objection about having a boyfriend but just like you would do if she was resisting in the bedroom, simply agree with her so she doesn’t think further about it in her mind.

Don’t make it a tug of war, but then of course you try again a few minutes later, breaking down the resistance. If she says she can’t do anything with you, just say you weren’t trying anyway with a smile. But keep pushing until you get it.

For girls that seem to be breakable but not easy, the only way to it is through regular access. If you work with her or see her weekly, then repeated access to her will nibble at her resistance until she just goes through with it. It’s because she can’t just forget about you or un-attract herself to you. But if you meet her one night in the club and just get her number, the seduction is over because she won’t allow her to see you without feeling like a cheat. Every extra minute she hangs with you and a minute’s worth exposure of your game that will help your cause.

Bottom line is if she puts herself in a position to cheat, she will cheat, and you should take full advantage of it. I found this all out the hard way years ago when I believed the best way to get a girl with a boyfriend was to first be her “friend.” I don’t think I need to tell you how far that got me, with all those wasted nights talking on the phone about the problems she is going with the guy that she is having sex with. It was an embarrassing period of my life and I try not to think about it.

It wasn’t until my first success with an engaged girl at work (years after experimenting with every technique out there), that I first learned how having access is critical to getting with desirable girls who were already taken. And with girls after, I learned that with them you must grow on her gradually like a fungus. Eventually, if your game is tight, she will make it all too easy for things to progress.

If A Girl Tries To Flake Out On The First Date

If a girl tries to reschedule the first date and you haven’t had sex with her yet, you are looking at something that could kill the interaction.

The time between getting her number and seeing her again is when most girls flake, so it’s important you keep that time to under one week. You call within a couple days of meeting her and schedule a date for a couple days after that. If too much time passes until she sees you again, momentum is lost and the interaction loses importance in her mind.

The reason: if she meets a new guy and doesn’t see him for over a week and doesn’t feel any discomfort, how will she come to the realization that it’s important to see him?

If a girl tries to cancel the first date, and you make it easy for her to do so, there’s a risk that date one will never occur. When dealing with a girl’s attempt to cancel, the main idea is to not let her off the hook so easily. Make it uncomfortable for her so there is tension that she attempts to relieve, either by canceling her cancellation or by wanting to quickly reschedule.

Girls usually cancel on the same day of the date through text or phone. If she calls you on the day of the date, let her leave a message by not picking up your phone. Do not respond to her until the very last minute, where she worries that you will actually show up to the date or that you were going to stand her up. For example if you set a date at 8PM and she cancels at 5, do not call her until 7:15-7:30. The extra time also allows you to think about the best way to respond.

A few months ago I had a first date with a girl I met at a dive bar. It was set at 8:30 but I got a text message in the afternoon from her saying she is not feeling well and needs to cancel. I didn’t respond and went on with my day. I came home, ate dinner, and then got a call from her an hour before the date was supposed to happen. She asked if I received her text message and I said yes, that I was right about to call her. She said that she feels a little bit better and can go out as planned.

In some cases doing NOTHING actually keeps the date on schedule. Who would have thought that? It’s better to go out with a sick girl or one that is less than 100% ready to have sex because it at least keeps the interaction going. Remember, the more time that passes before the first date, the less important you become.

I took this girl out, did some very light kissing at the end, and then banged her on the next date. Now if I responded to her text message before she felt “better,” the date wouldn’t have happened and it’s possible I may not have gotten the bang.

At the very least, delaying your response stirs up some worry and places you in her mind for a much longer time. I don’t know what a girl is thinking when she is trying to cancel a date, but I think it’s possible that your delayed response would make her think, “Maybe I’m making a mistake.” At best, like in my personal example
above, doing absolutely nothing will keep you on the right track.

I wouldn’t have been able to figure out the best way to deal with girls canceling dates unless I got A LOT of dates, but in all of high school and college I got a grand total of two dates. And nothing happened on either date. I was clueless AND sexless.

I made a commitment to solve this problem with a fresh start after college, and proceeded to figure out the best ways to meet girls, talk to them, and get dates. I used to never get dates, but I became a guy who would view a date just as another experiment to figure out women. Imagine how long a way I came.

Now I worry about things other than girls, like the meaning of life which country I want to visit next.

Taking Your Game International

The assumption guys make about girls is that they all respond the same, that game is game and things should work regardless of where the girl is from. I made this mistake and exported my push-pull, cocky and funny, and indirect game to Argentina with poor results. Here are some things I learned…

1. Do your research. Before you board the plane, ask your wingmen if they’ve had experiences with girls from that country. And when you arrive, make friends with the local guys and ask them for their opinions on the girls. One of my best friends is Russian and I can tell you that Russian girls will appear cold and distant when you first approach them but you should push on anyway.

2. Adapt quickly. On a two week vacation, you simply don’t have the time to learn a new game, but you do have time to make easy adjustments that affect how the locals respond to you. For example in Peru, the more you look like a gringo (think Abercrombie & Fitch), the better you’ll do with the girls in the club, so leave the soccer jersey at home. In Argentina the kiss is a big deal, so you delay your kiss attempt longer than usual without getting frustrated when things are moving along slower than normal.

3. Approach in massive numbers. The big myth of traveling is that you will get more abroad than you do at home, but there are so many obstacles (no cell phone, no pad, no wingmen, language barrier, lack of venue knowledge, and so on), that the only way to make up for them is to approach a lot more than you normally do. With many girls closed off to having sex with a gringo who is only in town for a weekend, sometimes you need to keep going until you find a girl who doesn’t mind and speaks your language. It takes a lot more energy than you are used to.

4. Western girls are easiest. American, English, Irish, and Australian girls are the easiest in the world. There are some exception (Brazilian girls are not difficult), but keep in mind you may need to put in more time with a local. American girls are so easy that I missed them in in Argentina while approaching the most beautiful (and difficult) girls I’ve ever met in my life.

5. Take it easy on the alcohol. While at home you’re mostly on auto-pilot, at a bar you know with wingmen you trust, but when you’re abroad you need to be full of energy and more mindful about what you are doing. It’s far better to pound Red Bull than beer.

If you can get laid with pretty girls who barely speak your language then there aren’t many challenges you can’t face. The last tip I can give you is simply to be fun: when you can’t talk with words, all the girl is going by is your positive energy and vibe. Sometimes all you’ll need to do is be the life of the party.
