I did a Q&A with the founder of Love Systems and author of Magic Bullets to find out what to expect at the upcoming Super Conference in Las Vegas, Oct 9-11th, 2009 is about:

Q: What is the Love Systems Super Conference?

The Love Systems Super Conference is the big annual event for people learning, teaching, or studying how to attract, date, and seduce beautiful women. It’s where the best of the best dating coaches come to share ideas, network, and of course to present their newest and best breakthroughs. It is three days filled with seminars, live exercises, and infield (going out to meet women with dating coaches instructing you).

It started as the Mystery Method Super Conference back in 2005 but renamed to Love Systems Super Conference in 2007. Past speakers have included:

- Mystery PUA (aka Erik Von Markovik, of VH1 The Pickup Artist, creator of The Mystery Method)
- Style (aka Neil Strauss, author of The Game)

All Love Systems instructors will be flying in to be at the Super Conference. There will also be other guest speakers and so far Brad P, Dr Paul, and David Wygant have confirmed to come. We have a couple more in the works with a surprise guest lined up.

There are two packages: Silver and Gold.

The Silver level attendees will be able to attend all the live exercises and seminars during the Super Conference. The Gold level attendees will also be able to do live exercises and seminars, but will also go out two nights with infield coaching by our instructors. The price for Silver is $947 and Gold is $3,797.

Q: When and where is the Super Conference taking place?

It will take place in Las Vegas, NV, USA at the Hard Rock Hotel. The exact date is October 9-11 (three days). We chose Vegas because it’s affordable for people come to Vegas and there are plenty of beautiful women from all across the globe partying it up.

Q: What sessions can we expect at the Super Conference?

What’s great about the Super Conference is that we will have two rooms booked. There will be two sessions running at the same time in the seminar and breakout room.

The breakout room will all be interactive. That’s where people will be able to talk to instructors and work with them on a particular part of their game. These live exercises include:

* Approaching and Transitioning – Get your approaching skills down!

* Teasing and Bantering – How to think on your feet and build attraction FAST!

* Physical Escalation – Touching gets results and prevents you getting in the friend zone!

* Body Language – Project confidence with your walk, posture, and gestures!

* Frame Control – Steer interactions the way you want it to go!

The seminar room is where the instructors and guest speakers will reveal their latest breakthroughs, give lectures, and talk about specific topics on dating.

You decide what you want to do because there are always two sessions running at the same time. If you want to work with an instructor, you can go to the breakout room. If you want to listen to a lecture on a specific topic, the seminar room is where you want to be. You can tailor the whole weekend to your own level of game. If you’re new to the game I would suggest you mix it up with breakout and seminar sessions.

Q: Do you need to have taken one of your bootcamps or seminars before you go can go the Super Conference?

It is true that the Super Conference will be covering a lot of advanced techniques and never before revealed secrets. However, you do not have to have taken a bootcamp or seminar of ours to go to the Super Conference. Even if you are completely new, if you take the Gold level (which includes infield) you will get the same experience as a normal bootcamp. The added bonus is that you will work with more instructors than a normal bootcamp, so you will get to see a lot of different styles of game and get feedback from a lot of different instructors.

One day before the start of the Super Conference we have set up an optional introductory program for new students. The Head Start seminar is about getting the foundations of solid game right. It will allow you to walk into the Super-Conference confident that you fully know and understand the underpinnings behind the game and to enable you to get the most out of the advanced theories that will be put forth throughout the weekend.

Q: Will there be a DVD of the Super Conference?

Short answer: No.

When we release our latest breakthroughs, we want to keep it to the people who will be at the Super Conference. Normally we release sensitive information only on the Lounge, a private forum for people who have done training with Love Systems, but we will be discussing all new theories, routines, and techniques in person at the Super Conference. That’s why we have people sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent our secrets and breakthroughs from leaking to the public.

Q: It’s too expensive for me. Anything I can do to still make it to the Super Conference?

We understand that in this tough economy money can be tight. We normally don’t offer payment plans but we want to help men out as much as we can so we are making an exception for this Super Conference.

If you can’t afford the Gold level ticket, you might want to consider the Silver level ticket. You can attend and participate in all seminars and live exercises, and it’s only the night training that you’ll be missing out on. Although there will be loads of other guys who will be eager to head out on the town with you!

Sinn - One of my favorite things about Super Conferences is being around all of the instructors. Every one of them is a really cool guy. Can’t wait till next year!

Psilite – I had a lot of fun and thought this whole Super Conference was genius! Especially the way the rooms were set up. There was A LOT of information that was gold in the entire Super Conference! Much of it helped me a lot when I went out that same day. I wish I had a gold or higher ticker to go out with the instructors.

J The Ripper – My brain is still on overload as I’m trying to sort out all the knowledge that was handed down by the Love Systems instructors. They had a really cool format where you could basically choose your own schedule. The upstairs auditorium was dedicated to seminars, which was one speaker after another. Each speaker would discuss a different topic (ie Approach Anxiety. Routines, Day Game, Qualification, 10 Min. lays, Female Psychology, etc…) The side room and downstairs room were dedicated to group exercises, where the instructors would go over a certain aspect of game, and then coach you on it and give you instant feedback (teasing and bantering, storytelling, frame control, etc). I had a great time and recommend everyone check it out next year.

Capo - What can I say? I mean… the Super Conference offered way more than I thought, I mean, it was way better than I had anticipated, even having read all of what was posted on the site. I thought it was going to be a really fun and educational weekend… it turned out to be one of the funnest and coolest (educational as well) weekends I’ve ever had, it was really awesome. Every single instructor that took the stage or got to be in charge of the workout room was very knowledgeable and they all took as much time as needed to answer all the questions they were being asked. The Super Conference was awesome, I met a lot of really cool guys and got to hang out with some of the best instructors in the world, what more can I ask for?

SirSlick – Whatever you want, LS has instructors that are experts on different areas and you can just walk up to them and ask them whatever you need to know. I never had the idea that the instructors “were better” than the attendees. My impression of them was they were genuine in helping people and were just like “us”. I’d highly suggest for everyone to get a SC BC, it’s worth the money. I’m college student and tight on money, but the investment was totally worth it. It totally opened my reality on what I can do now and in the future. The BC definitely cut my learning curve by several months up to maybe a year, because it eliminated two sticking points and now I know what weaknesses I have in my game. With that I also have exercises and notes on how to improve my success with women.

Goodrake - While it’s great to hear someone talk about it, seeing the instructors do it, answer questions, and then watch and evaluate as the students did it was a great learning process. Almost without exception each of the presenters showed both a real depth of knowledge and experience about the subject matter, and a genuine passion for sharing this with the attendees and seeing it benefit them. If you come to one of these or a bootcamp, be sure to be prepared to take a lot of notes, in a quick and organized fashion. When the instructors are in their groove, the information is flowing. If knowledge is water, think of it as trying to drink from a fire hose. Even though I’ve been studying and applying this stuff for about a year, there’s still plenty of new insights to be gained from attending, as well as retouching on foundational stuff, and the occasional “light bulb over head” moment, when the clouds part and you see something you didn’t see before. How much is a “breakthrough” worth to you?

Monk – As I began talking to other attendees, I realized the lengths community members were willing to go to to attend this event. I met guys from all over CA, from the east coast, and instructors from London, Sweden, Paris, Thailand and other exotic locales. Everyone. Thank you. My life is different. Fears and doubts I’ve had since adolescence are gone, perhaps forever.

Guythano – I really had quite a bit of fun, but more importantly conquered some sticking points. It all just suddenly clicked. A week after I returned, it just started raining women. I would just like to thank everyone again for all their efforts to make the superconference possible and if you have the chance to go, I highly recommend that you do!

Xander - Let me just say that Love Systems truly is dating science. It’s an accurate term. It’s the most cutting edge, advanced stuff around and it’s constantly being refined by great tactical seducers. Overall a life-changing weekend and a total bargain.

Jiggawha - I was so surprised at everyone’s high levels of positive energy, and when I heard the instructors speak, I was instantly blown away. Every word that they spoke struck me with an “AHA!” moment, and shot my motivation up the roof. They were so down to earth that I felt I had a chance of becoming like them. I usually never talk to my parents deeper than an informational level, but I called my mom Monday night, and we had a deep conversation for half an hour about my life and about her’s. Coming into the conference, I couldn’t even open a set properly, but after that first failed set, the learning has never stopped. Every single one of you has had an impact on me. Life has meaning again. Thank you so much.

Cleanface - The conference this year was nothing short of amazing! What an awesome event!

Zyder – The Love Systems Super Conference in Vegas was a really exceptional experience. Considering that I only first started reading Magic Bullets on my flight over from Paris then to say I was a newbie to all this material would be a bit of an understatement! The seminars covered pretty much every aspect of gaming women. Three days of seminars with the instructors often around and between sessions to answer your questions was such a great deal. I was genuinely shocked by how articulate and knowledgeable the instructors were.

Tenorio - I walked away from EVERY presentation having learned something — and that’s saying a lot, since I’ve read everything. Going out both nights in Gold Level groups…well, I don’t know what to say. There’s no better way to put theoretical lessons into action than through practice, and Gold Level was a perfect way to do this. I left the weekend with some sticking points nailed and a concrete gameplan for my evolution going forward. There’s not much more I could ask for.

SSnake – There was lots material that I had never heard or read and getting it straight from the horses mouth made all the difference. Of course, there is already more good material on-line, in books, and on CD then you could ingest in a life-time. I went to actually hang out with these instructors and network with other students. You can’t get that from media.

I asked Nick Savoy about his experience on the Tyra Banks Show:

Q. What was the audience reaction to you?

A. At first the audience felt little skeptical. Tyra is all about empowering women. I think that’s great, but some people misinterpret empowering women as being against the Love Systems movement.

Of course, that’s backwards, because Love Systems is all about what works and what beautiful women respond to in the real world. If women responded to men eating ice cream, Love Systems would be run a Baskin Robbins franchise. But women respond to the techniques of the Love Systems Triad – our original model of dating and seduction. So that’s what we teach and what we use ourselves.

Q. What do you think Tyra Banks was trying to accomplish by having you on the show?

A. I think it was a mix of entertainment, curiosity, and giving her audience a bit of insight on how men about dating and relationships. But I’m not really sure – her people didn’t try to script us.

I think she wanted to show both extremes – first a guy who could be attractive to women but doesn’t get what he wants because he doesn’t know how to get women to respond to him. And then guys like Braddock or myself who were once in that position, studied Love Systems, and are living life the way we want to.

Q. Why did you take Braddock this time? You went on the Dr Phil Show with The Don…

A. Any of the eight lead Love Systems instructors could have handled it, but it was really time to unleash Braddock. Everyone is talking about him as the next big thing with all of his breakthroughs in the pickup artist / dating coaching world. His teaching gets amazing reviews.

I’ve noticed that all of the big names in dating have a signature event. Cajun has Keys to the VIP. The Don has Dr Phil. Soul has his pickup video (and a bunch more in the Love Systems Pickup Video Channel. Fivepointzero has a TV show of him actually training rock stars on Love Systems. And so on.

So Tyra Banks was a great fit, and a good opportunity to put Braddock to the test. After Friday, he won’t be much of a secret any more.

Q. Some people say that by explaining Love Systems to a mostly-female TV audience lessens the power of the secret techniques you teach. How would you respond?

A. That’s old-school thinking. Sure, if you peacock like it’s a dress code and you use the same five routines over and over and then women see that, they won’t be interested. I don’t think most people can get good results today from dressing and acting like the VH-1 show, even though I was consultant on the first season. Before it aired, you could. Game is different now.

Techniques like the Love Systems Triad (LST) are so effective in part because a woman can know exactly what you’re doing and it will still work. No woman in the world is going to say “you have great body language; this must be a trick” or “you have great social intelligence and know exactly how to convey your good qualities without bragging – I don’t want anything to do with you”. Sure there’s a lot of secret sauce that goes into Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) bootcamps, but you’ll notice none of that hits the air.

Just last week actually a woman journalist came to one of The Don’s bootcamps (source). Not only did she agree with a lot of Love Systems, but she also admitted that “I have to admit that a lot of the routines, as delivered by the experienced instructors, would totally have worked on me in a bar”

I’m Nick Savoy, and I run Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) and if you feel a solid “pickup” slipping away, keep these three rules handy.

SECRET #1: Bait, don’t chase

When a woman seems to be slipping away, most guys (at least most guys who don’t know Love Systems) will chase her harder. She didn’t answer the last text? Call her! Phone calls are short? Ask her out!

It’s logical, but counter-productive.

You want her to invest her time and emotional energy in you. But once you’ve asked her a couple of times, continuing to push the same offer on her will make her want it (and you) LESS.

It’s the same with any kind of investment. Let’s say your friend Joe wants you to invest in his new business. You keep dodging the question but Joe keeps asking or hinting at it. The more he does this, the more SURE you are that you don’t want to invest. And after a while, you stop answering Joe’s calls because you smell his agenda a mile away.

A BETTER WAY

What if Joe recognized that you didn’t want to invest. Instead of pressuring you, he backed off, talked about other things, and only casually once in a while referred to his business but without asking you for anything. It sounds like it’s doing well, and one day he invites you to drop by and visit.

Well, you can do that can’t you? And if you liked what you saw, what’s going to happen next? You’ll probably ask HIM if he’s interested in more investors. Just like a beautiful woman will often start hinting at date opportunities and places to meet up when you’ve got some emotional momentum going.

The first key is to LOWER THE INVESTMENT LEVEL YOU ARE ASKING OF HER. There are many ways to do this, depending on the situation, but here are some of the big ones:

Texts instead of phone calls

Light, fun conversation instead of serious topics

Conversation for the sake of it alone instead of making plans

Shorter rather than longer phone calls (and text messages)

In summary – take a step back, make sure she’s with you, and then start going forward and building momentum again… together.

SECRET #2: Be in the moment

Tell me if this story sounds familiar. You met a woman you’re interested in. She is all over you, insists you take her number, promises to make you dinner this weekend and implies that she might be the desert…

… but it’s not that same girl when (if?) you get her on the phone. She’s actually busy this weekend and doesn’t suggest another date.

Well, that’s not fair, is it?

Darn right it isn’t. Before I learned Love Systems and changed my life around, this used to get me so frustrated. Sometimes I’d even call the girl and ask what the heck happened. (There’s no point doing that either.)

To explain what’s going on and what to do, I’m going to take you on a little detour.

I love playing board games. It’s a very nerdy hobby – I’m not talking about games people know, like Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly. I’m talking about games no one has heard of – detailed games re-fighting ancient wars, and so on.

(Obviously, this isn’t something most women can relate to. But, it’s my hobby and I’m passionate about it. Since women are attracted by emotion, not logic (you should know this), the average swimsuit model will genuinely prefer to hear me passionately talk about board games and why I love them more than Mr. Generic boring her droning on about his cars and money. Like Love Systems expert Mr. M wrote recently that she feels what you feel. I’ll take passionate over bored any day.)

Anyway… there’s one game I used to play a lot called Diplomacy. It’s a game of negotiation, betrayal, and intrigue, with a bit of military strategy thrown in. I used to be fairly good, but not great. At tournaments, I’d often get to the “final table” (the top seven players, since it’s a seven-player game) and just as often be one of the first players eliminated.

Almost ten years ago, at the World Boardgaming Championships (yes, it does exist), I deliberately got a previous year’s champion drunk so he’d tell me my flaw. See, one of the lessons I learned in school from a Goldman Sachs guest lecturer was “Alcohol Works.” I stick with good advice wherever I find it.

My flaw? Not strategy. Not tactics. Not negotiation.

Optimistic self-delusion.

He told me he could pull the wool over my eyes by figuring out what it was that I wanted to believe, and then use that against me while he prepared to stab me in the back. If I was playing France and I really wanted to believe that my English ally wasn’t about to attack me, then I’d believe just about any explanation the English player would give me… Before he stuck the knife in.

“Play the board as it is, not how you want it to be.”

Board games are silly, but the lesson isn’t. It’s funny how many times I’ve repeated that exact phrase without anyone asking where or what this “board” was about. But the meaning is clear, and very applicable to Love Systems.

The woman you want was all over you last night? That was last turn. Board’s changed.

A woman is in your neighborhood and wants to come over tonight after being standoffish for weeks? Board’s changed. Tomorrow she might not want to. You’ll get nowhere by saying “but last night you wanted to,” at least no further than I’d get in a Diplomacy game saying “but last turn you didn’t have an army next to Paris.”

SECRET #3: Know Your Moves

The great thing about Love Systems being “bottom up” – we start by figuring out what works and only THEN put theories and structure on top of it – is that literally every part of attracting beautiful women can be made easier.

So, even with something as specific as how to get a girl who has drifted way back in the orbit, there’s a body of Love Systems knowledge. There are even a bunch of specific texts and things to say on the phone in the Phone and Text Game chapter of the Love Systems Routines Manual.

But I’ll give you a classic one, right now, with my compliments:

“I just met your twin.”

This works whether you haven’t talked in months or whether you just want to spark some energy. It doesn’t require major investment on her part. It implies that you are meeting other women and if some of them are similar to her and responding to you, maybe she should make her move now before you get away.

This is something impossible to say directly and difficult to convey… which makes this such a powerful text.

It’s a strange phenomenon, but women are more interested in you if they know that other women are interested in you too. We call this “Pre-selection” and it is one of the eight basic ways to attract beautiful women. This was first explained in my book, Magic Bullets (Magic Bullets Review), and then discussed in our Interview Series volumes Introduction to Attraction (Savoy and The Don), Identity (Tenmagnet, Sinn, and Future), and Female Psychology (Savoy and Soul).

Nick Savoy from Love Systems emailed me his BRILLIANT breakdown of a pick up for your study and enjoyment. Get as much out of this as you can! Gold.

Women have different rules for men who “get it” – men who have women in their life – than they do for men who don’t.

In other words, men who understand women get to play by a different set of rules. My friend TD called this the “secret society” — but it’s not a secret if you know what to look for. Men in this club don’t take any one conversation with an individual woman too seriously, don’t put women on a pedestal and hold them to expectations of nun-like purity, and aren’t judgmental to women who enjoy their sexuality. Women will let such men get away with things they’d never find acceptable in other guys – or in the same guy before he “got it”.

I’ll explain with an example – one that also lends itself to tangents about picking up 9s and 10s, and threesomes. So, hold on tight.

A few years ago, a friend introduced me to “Karen”, then one of the top up-and-coming fashion designers in Los Angeles. At the time, I was only just starting to piece together the secrets of meeting an dating beautiful women – the techniques that I later revealed in my book Magic Bullets and now form the basis for Love Systems’ teaching worldwide. But, with some difficulty, I was able to date and then seduce her. She might even have been my first “10”.

During this time, Karen’s behavior was pretty typical of a young beautiful woman dating an average guy. She resisted my advances at first and made me work. She didn’t sleep with me right away. She didn’t seem especially sexual (without being a prude). She claimed to have no interest in threesomes and told me she’d only been with six men in her life. She was… “normal”. I did finally close the deal on the third date and we dated for a while after that, but because we both traveled all the time, we never got to see each other and ended up as casual friends.

(Which actually worked out great, because hot fashion designers have hot friends and hot models they work with. Using a precursor to the literally game-changing techniques designed by Mr. M and Braddock in their Social Circle Mastery program, I worked my way into a great position in her social circle and have hooked up with a few of her friends – we’ll get to why this is important in a moment)

Fast forward to last weekend. I was teaching an advanced invitation-only bootcamp at the Playboy Mansion. The main event was this big fashion show, and a student and I interrupted our debrief to watch. We saw the most unreal girl walk the runway – the 2nd most beautiful woman I’ve ever met in Los Angeles. Tall, perfect body, beautiful face, perfect skin (I’m a sucker for perfect skin) and that long soft straight blonde hair I love so much. And a walk that conveyed complete confidence and intense sexuality. She was not only a 10, she defined 10s. We’ll call her Lara.

One of the guys wanted me to pick her up. I wanted me to pick her up. I could feel the whole Love Systems community wanting me to pick her up. OK, maybe that’s going too far. Let’s just say that the vodka from the Playboy Mansion open bar also wanted me to pick her up. But I did relish the challenge – captivating the obvious star runway model in the center of the Playboy Mansion grounds surrounded by cameras and…because there’s no other way to put it…hordes of horny dudes. Those guys did NOT want me to pick her up.

The mechanics of the pickup actually weren’t all that different from any of the countless pickups that happen every night around the world using the Magic Bullets model. Since most readers are already familiar with these I won’t waste time on the easy stuff; I’ll just hit some of the twists and turns.

First off, I don’t like to approach the “star of the show” head-on. An actress signing autographs, a model getting photographed, a singer coming off-stage, these women are already surrounded with men sucking up to them.

This is why when I occasionally do private programs on how to pick up and date a porn star, guys are usually surprised when I tell them to stay AWAY from official events, autographing signings, etc. There are MUCH better places to meet them, where the balance of power is a bit more in your favor.

But at the Mansion, there wasn’t going to be a second chance. So the next best course was to “rebound” into a conversation with her. I started talking to two guys who among the many surrounding her. And then when the moment was right (she just finished a conversation), I pivoted to her as if I’d been arguing with these two guys about something, and jumped straight into a shortened version of LBD’s text message breakup opinion opener from the Love Systems Routines Manual.

Yes, the humble opinion opener – which I still use.

(It’s funny – I sometimes get emails from people who ask me for the “secret” routines that I use. When we want a routine, we go the same places everyone else does – the Love Systems Routines Manual).

If you’ve read Magic Bullets, you know what came next. I know I wouldn’t have much time, and had to race to at least get to the Comfort phase of the 6-step Emotional Progression Model. This meant getting quickly through the Transition, Attraction, and Qualification. It wasn’t easy, because guys were interrupting us every 2.4 seconds and when she started leaning in to me to show she was attracted, one of her girlfriends came over to “rescue” her. Meanwhile, one of her manager people was trying to move her to somewhere else she supposedly needed to be.

Taking her home was going to mean work, if it was even possible, and I had workshop guys to get back to. So I got her phone number, arranged to have a drink with her the next night, and left.

Here’s where the lessons come in. A guy who didn’t “get it” – who took every women seriously when he first met her, who didn’t understand how female psychology and sexual decision-making worked would have taken her on a traditional date, hoping to get somewhere by the end of the night. No problem with dates – I use them when I don’t have a better option – but I knew I only had one shot with her (they’d only brought her in from New York for the show) and wanted to seal the deal in the one night I knew we’d have together.

I invited a bunch of my friends (ah, the joy of mass text messages) to a bustling outdoor bar/café that would have great social energy, drinks, and food. (i.e., no excuses to have to go somewhere else). I invited mostly girls, but also brought one of the students from the private advanced bootcamp along so he could see how things should look.

One of the girls who showed up was Karen, who I hadn’t seen in six months. I must have texted her 10 times in the past six months with no response. A guy who doesn’t have girls might have gotten frustrated or deleted her number. To me, it didn’t matter. I still thought she was cool, even if she was busy or not answering, and it doesn’t cost me anything to keep inviting her. So when she showed up, there was no “edge” – no under the surface wondering why she hadn’t been responding before. I was just happy to have her as part of my night and enjoy the moment without worrying about the past or the future. That’s what guys who have women do.

Lara was still the woman I was interested in. Karen and I had hooked up enough times before, I could take it or leave it. Whenever I am in a group situation with my friends and a woman I am interested in, I follow the same pattern (WRITE THIS DOWN)

• Put the girl you’re interested in beside you

• All the touching goes to her (ideally under the table)

• All the conversation goes to everyone else

Lara was resisting my under the table touching at first. When did she start reciprocating? About five minutes after she realized that I’d hooked up with both of the other women at the table. Don’t confuse this with Pre-selection. Pre-selection is an attraction switch – one of the eight revealed in Magic Bullets – but I was well past Attraction at this point. No, what this conveyed was that I was a guy who had women in my life and that I “get it”.

I wasn’t jealous or controlling with the girls I’ve hooked up with. I just enjoyed their company, and them mine. Even though Karen and I were having boiling sexual tension, both of the other women looked on in approval as Lara and I started connecting physically.

After a while of that, I sealed the deal when I leaned in to whisper in her ear:

Me: What kind of women are you attracted to? [I’d already established that she has hooked up with women in the past]

Lara: [Lists some qualities]

Me: What do you think of Karen?

Lara: She’s beautiful…etc.

Me: Well, no promises, but I’ll see if I can convince her to join us when we go home later

I want to make this clear – up to this point we’d never kissed, never really talked about sex, and certainly never discussed going home and having sex that night. But when she passively accepted the frame that I set with the last line above, the question changed from “where is this going tonight?” to “will this be a regular hookup tonight or will it be a threesome”?

It’s similar – but far more effective – to when I used to joke around with women on dates about whether the night was going to end with us having sex once or twice. Either choice I win, and even said jokingly, as long as she doesn’t object, it helps establish the frame.

It seems like a little thing, but it’s not. As I always emphasize when I teach, the dividing line between a woman sleeping with you or not sleeping with you can be exceedingly narrow. Lara was fully intending to have a drink with me, flirt, maybe kiss a bit, but leave it at that. This changed the game.

Once I’d told Lara that I’d try to get Karen home with us, I fortified that frame a couple of times with “no promises, but I’ll see what I can do”. And then of course I started shifting my attention to Karen. Who had seen Lara clearly into me and me responding, etc. After I had made out with her, Karen said the punchline that is the reason why I wrote this article in the first place:

“I love you because you’re such a whore”

I don’t know if it was just because I’d gone from heavy touching with Lara to making out with her – without embarrassment – or because I’d hooked up with her friends (and been discreet enough never to mention it to her…she found out from them, not me), or just because I was conveying that attitude, but it was interesting because Karen changed at that moment.

Gone was the woman who had been more or less typical with me up to that point. Now she was openly talking her sexual experiences, letting me touch her in public in ways that I had had to struggle to do in private before, etc., etc. It’s not that Karen changed. It’s that in her mind, I’d changed. I’d gone from a cool, fun, but normal guy in her mind to a guy that has women. Who “gets it”.

• Guys who have women in their life are safe. They won’t freak out when a woman doesn’t call back or has to cancel.

• Guys who have women in their life aren’t jealous or controlling,.

• Guy who have women in their life aren’t judgmental. They understand that women are complex and multi-dimensional and can’t simply be labeled virgins or whores.

Closing the deal from that point on was just basic logistical mechanics.

Look, I’m going to be straight with you here. You’re not going to be having threesomes with two 10s as soon as you read Magic Bullets and the Love Systems Routines Manual (though some of the sexualization routines in Volume 2 are pretty intense). You will need to practice, and it will take some time to integrate it all. A bootcamp is a giant-ass shortcut to getting good instantly, but you’re still going to have to practice some.

But what I will say is this: There’s nothing in this particular pickup that isn’t taught at a bootcamp. In fact, I’d even say that there’s nothing in this pickup that couldn’t have been pieced together from a combination of Magic Bullets, both Routines Manuals, and a couple of interview series volumes to cover any sticking points or advanced subjects on the way.

So if you’re sitting around wanting to get better with women – at least meet me halfway. Get a hold of the basic information you need to succeed. Like Magic Bullets or the Love Systems Routines Manual.

Have you considered taking a boot camp? The major players are probably Love Systems, PUATraining and Real Social Dynamics. This comparative review was posted over at the Love Systems forum which may be very valuable for those considering taking one. This user post was in regards to Braddock’s bootcamp in Washington, April 2009.

My story:

About two years ago, late on a Friday night alone at home (which was a common theme for me) I was flipping through channels bored as hell. It just so happened, as I was scrolling through my channel guide, I saw a show called “The Pick-Up Artist” on VH1. Too lazy to hop on the computer for porn, I guess I was hoping there would be some hot chick I’d spank it to. By now, I’m sure everyone in the community has heard of the show that blew the secret off the “secret” society. Well I didn’t end up jerking off to it (was scared jerking off to the cross dressing Mystery would make me gay), but it fucking flipped my world inside out and upside down. After watching the show, of course, like every other AFC that saw the show, I had to try this shit out.

The following week, I end up going out to a club in Baltimore with some of my nerd friends (I love em, but damn they can be lame). So I pick a line off the show (dental floss) and was going to bust it out and fucking close a chick for the first time in god knows how long. By the way, I didn’t tell any of my friends about the show and was just going to impress them with all the hot chicks I landed. So heading into the club with rap music fucking blaring through the speakers, packed with people shoulder to shoulder, strobe lights going on and off all over the place, the place is loaded with women. After about 30 minutes of staring at different women, I pick the girl (an 8). She’s the blonde standing over by the bar in a hot little black dress with red heels looking like she ready for me to come over there grab her, take her into the bathroom and give her the fucking she was waiting for. At that very moment, my heart starts beating out of my chest, I start sweating like I’m a fucking 400lb guy walking up 10 flights of stairs, and I become very aware of beer my friend spilled on me 10 minutes earlier that makes me look like I pissed myself . So I walk up next to her, about to say the line, and she looks over at me and I freeze (like a sweaty deer in headlights). We make eye contact for about 3 seconds and I turn to the bartender, order my normal jack and coke, and walk a way like the chode I was. And stand against the wall with the rest of my companions.

What the fuck just happened??? Needless to say, I don’t think that set went very well. So what did I need to do to improve, I knew the answer… Tivo the rest of the season of the Pick-Up Artist. That worked about as well as me a Turtle getting laid without Vince Chase.

Over the next few months, I spend hours everyday researching shit online, reading the Game by Style, and numerous books that are listed on forums and in the book. But I never get over approach anxiety and could never find the right words to say. Once in a blue moon, under the right circumstances (not too loud, the right song, an “approachable” set, with a perfect canned line for the situation) I open a set, but cannot nail any sort of real hook.

What is going on, what can I do to get over this shit and get that grade “A” pussy I’m looking for (you know the kind that taste like ice cream, not the shitty off brand stuff, but the Häagen-Dazs of pussy).

I finally decide to put some really value behind all of the teachings I had learned, I need in the field experience. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME. And for me to actually do that, I need some pushing me to open. In February of 08, I signed up for the San Francisco boot camp with RSD. This is going to the life altering training I need to break out of my chodeness, and release the inner alpha male.

Real Social Dynamics:

We are to meet at 7pm in a hotel lobby. I end up realizing who the other 2 students are, just by them having the same blank and nervous stare I had. My thoughts are racing and I’m scared shitless, but hey, 3 students to 1 instructor! This was going to be an awesome ratio, so much personal attention. The instructor shows up 7:25 (I was stressed, I was staring at my phone every 30 seconds, the only confidence I had to keep me in check was knowing I was in the right hotel cause the other two students were there.)

Finally, the PUA shows up, we begin to have our pick-up information given to us in the busy hotel lobby. He tells us to throw away everything we had learned as it was all shit. Canned lines never work; you have to become a natural now to be success with women, due to the book and the show fucking up the canned approaches. That totally makes sense, I get that. So what do I do? Be unreactive, assert dominance, give value, have core confidence. Ok great, how do I do that? The answer I received was defining what they were not demonstrating or giving examples so I couldn’t apply it to any actions or words. But fuck it, I’m going to try and do whatever I think it means. He’s the PUA, he gets paid for this, he knows what he talking about, right?

So before we head out, we get the rules. One of the first rules was that we could not ask the instructor to open a set. And which we never got to seem him do. He used having a girlfriend as an excuse. Another was “No game talk in the field” With that out of the way, we head to a nice upscale lounge and the night begins. He tells me to walk up to every set I see. I go, and immediately get blown out of the first set I approached, I return and ask what I did wrong and he replies “No game talk” and pushes towards another set. After 4 more blow outs, the night just began to grow dimmer and dimmer for me. Eventually, it just felt like my instructor gave up on me, when I said “I have no fucking idea what to say”. His response was, “it doesn’t matter”. My problem with that answer was, if I could successfully talk to women, would I have this dreaded approach anxiety? The night ends, all three of us with an unsuccessful night.

We meet up in the afternoon the next day. And after spending 2 hours waiting on the third student (apparently the instructor didn’t have his number) we realize he jumped ship. 2-1 ratio now. By this point, regardless of the ratio, I was not feeling very confident. Game talk begins again. This time, he goes over a few more cores of pick-up, of course, neither of us had been successful with the previous night so it was about logical as yelling at a dog for burning the toast your grandmother cooked in the oven a week ago.

After we broke to rest and prepare for the night, I said to myself, “Do whatever it takes to open.” So I pump myself up in my hotel, get to the bar, and my good friend, “AA”, hits me again. The first night, I didn’t drink because I wanted to focus on my game. Not tonight…I start off by pounding 3 shots, by the end of the night, and about $100 worth of drinks later, I had open tons of sets. I have no idea if they were successful, what I said, what I did, or where I lost my phone, but I opened sets. So I figured out what I needed to do to open sets, just get plastered and make a complete drunken ass out of myself.

The next day, hung-over and without a phone, we meet and spend 4 hours in a restaurant talking about day-2’s and phone game. This had an actual structure and was what I was looking for the entire boot camp. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t open successfully, which is needed to a date or get a number.

Once I finally went home, which is in Baltimore (yes, I flew from MD to San Fran for the boot camp) I just decided, pick up is not for me and I will just have to look for “4” to settle for. (Which sucks cause I can hardly get my dick hard for a 4) For the next year, I just dropped everything from the game and went back to my lonely life scrolling the TV for hot chicks on Friday nights, too lazy to walk over to my PC to find something to spank it to.

Love Systems:

A year passes…

Of course, when I was heavy into the forums, I signed up for every mailing list possible on pick-up (I receive like 5 a day from different sites, like I’m sure most of you reading this do). I never look at them but something caught my eye, a boot camp coming to DC. Took a look at it, and just out of curiosity replied to get a few more details about it. Well, I got a call from one of the sales guys and decided, fuck it; I’ll give it a try.

This time, I was not expecting my life to be altered; in fact, I expected it to be a load of bullshit. The sales guy was saying it was going to be led by a guy named Braddock, according to the sales guy, “Probably the best PUA out right now” which I also assumed to be a load of shit and was just trying to sell me.

I head to the conference room (a little bit early) where the class portion will be, yes, there are actually three full classes of teaching pick-up. This is what I was looking for a year ago. So I became a little excited, but then I walk into the room where 18 chairs are set up, I’m the first person in the room. Oh shit, one instructor for 18 people, this is going to be hell, well it ends up only 8 students, but 2 instructors and 2 assistants. I liked the break down quite a bit.

The first day, Braddock and Big Business break down opening and transitioning, and throw in a few extra pointers to help us. It was a 5 hour class, with loads of good information. It seemed a little overwhelming, but it was the same information I had actually wished for and was seeking in the RSD boot camp. Braddock gave us some openers and routines, but said not to rely on them (salt & pepper). Before we broke, we were given our mission for the night, focus on opening and transitioning, don’t worry about getting blown out, and hit a lot of sets: don’t get stuck. It was magic…an objective that didn’t rely on outcome and focused on process.

That night everyone of us blew it up. I got blown out of the first few sets, but the instructors pointed out what I did wrong (body language, tonality, smiling). The openers they gave me provided me with enough confidence to approach. If I ever felt like I wasn’t sure what to do next, Calabrese just pointed at a set and said go. By the end of the night, I wasn’t even using canned openers because it just turned into a night of having fun. I approached at least 25 sets that night and hooked quite a few.

The next day Braddock, Big Biz, Calabrese, and Feet Sauce broke down our success and areas of opportunity. The layer process of learning continued, next we focused on disqualification, attraction, and kino. And at the end of class, another mission: play specific games we were taught, get numbers and closes.

Another successful night in the record book for me on night 2. Day three, another evaluation of the previous night and onto qualification, comfort, and the “birds and the bees” (a little differently than my dad taught me, but I would have fucking loved this version from him.)

By the end of the class, my outlook on pick up has done another 180 degrees and I respect it now and actually am not afraid to open sets. Yes, I still have work to do, but I actually am able to begin that work after I moved off of my sticking point. And I know what to do if I hit another sticking point.

Break Down:

RSD was about half the price of Love Systems. It seemed like a great idea at the time, because it was cheaper, but I ended up losing a year’s worth of pussy by taking the cheap way.

RSD has an extreme approach to the “natural” which can be great, but if you struggle with finding what to say it is not the way to go.

Love Systems broke information down and explained why stuff worked, how it worked, demonstrated it to us, and gave us feedback on what we were doing. There is a real process of learning involved.

If you do not have the money for a Love Systems class, and struggle with Approach Anxiety, do not bother taking any other course. Just save money until you can afford it.

By having more than 1 instructor, Love Systems could keep the class on course and could follow multiple students so one did not end up getting lost.

The energy of the instructors will keep any student going, motivated, and confident.

The best investment in myself I have ever made.

So the guys went to a nursing home and chilled with the old ladies. They then voted on which man charmed them the most. Matt won. He’s the guy that got his teeth fixed. He’s actually an pretty good looking guy now with the makeover. The reward was a boa to use as a lock in prop.

The guys learn indirect and opinion openers, and then head to the club. *SPOILER* Brian, the Asian with an afro, does well and win’s the challenge. Mystery gives him the option to keep to guys in the house without risk of elimination. Brian get’s way to nervous and pukes. Very anxious guy. He chooses Greg and Todd, and Kevin gets booted.

VH1′s The Pickup Artist has started again, and everyone in the seduction community is watching… Just for your warning, I’ll do these posts every episode, and they will contain spoilers. You’ve been warned. Here’s the first episode of The Pickup Artist Season 2 Episode 1.

Summary

It pained me to see the guys rock up to the pool and not talk, say hi, or approach any of those beautiful women. However, we don’t know the back story, and it could well be that it was edited or filmed in such a way that made approach difficult or not worth it.

Well the season started by having the guys go into the club. Alex got approached by two girls, and should have escalated. But he didn’t.

What was quite interesting to me was watching Mystery update his clothing a bit. He defintely needs to update that goth image, which is just over done in my opinion. Matador was looking sharp, and his skills matched. Mystery looked the best I’ve seen him when he was striped down to a vest and jeans and forced to execute the game “naked” of gambits. Thumbs up for that.

The guys then went on to stores, got pimped out, and changed their images. I personally only think a few of them looked decent. All of them looked BETTER, but only two or three looked great. I also think the guy with the long hair shouldn’t of cut it, he should’ve used that to his advantage. Long hair is awesome and girls really respond to it. So they should’ve cleaned it up and told him how to use it. **SPOILER** Alex was kicked of the show early. I agree with the judges, he had a gay vibe, and his heart wasn’t in it.

Next week, we’ll be sure to see more of what the Mystery Method has to offer as the guys no doubt head to the clubs with openers.

For those following community politics, we have the big news that the year-and-a-half lawsuit between 1) Mystery Method Corporation, Savoy, Love Systems, and Love Systems’ Instructors and 2) Mystery, Lovedrop, and Matador has settled.

This was recently announced on both the Venusian Arts website and on Savoy’s blog. Despite Savoy’s statement that he wasn’t going to talk about it, I have his cell phone number and am persistent. Eventually he gave in.

SC: Congratulations on settling this case. It must be a relief. Do you feel that you won?

SAVOY: No, there’s no winner. The point of a settlement is that there aren’t winners and losers. Both sides have said that they are happy with the settlement, and we’re moving on.

SC: What can you tell me about the settlement?

SAVOY: Not much. We’ve agreed to keep the terms confidential. What I can say is that monetary damages are being paid to me in return for dismissing my claims for defamation.

SC: Does that make you feel vindicated in a way, after all of the negative publicity you suffered during this?

SAVOY: Yes and no. Obviously, it’s nice, but I decided early on that I wasn’t going to worry about what random people who didn’t know the situation had to say. This isn’t an industry you should be in if you can’t handle criticism. Guys read The Game, which of course is written by Mystery’s best friend, and they feel attached to that character without really thinking about whether there might be some bias going on or that a book written by one guy’s best friend isn’t necessarily a good guide to a complex dispute that began two years later and involved several other people. It’s natural.

The part that does make me happy is being able to clear my name. I had a business career before Love Systems, and I will have a business career after it. It will be nice for people to be able to google my name without this crap.

SC: So how do you feel about Mystery now?

S: We settled, we shook hands, and it’s in the past now. I mean, we’re not rushing off to plan a vacation together, but if I run into any of those guys, I’ll gladly have a beer with them. The more I dug into this, the harder it was to figure what exactly Mystery was doing versus what various people around him were doing and who knew what and who was driving the bus, and now that it’s all settled, I really don’t care anymore. I genuinely wish them all the best. I really do.

SC:Looking back, what would you have done differently?

SAVOY: I’ve been thinking a lot about this, but it’s tough to give a really insightful answer. The “key lessons” from this are things I knew anyway – common sense things that most people would know anyway – but ignored.

SC: Such as..?

SAVOY: OK, fine. Like, first of all, always get any deal written down and signed. No shit, right? Well, but when you’re making plans with friends, your first thought isn’t always “let’s call a lawyer and get this documented”. But it should be. As one of my mentors told me, “a deal that starts with a handshake ends with a gun”. These days, even when I’m making agreements with guys I’ve been working with and friends with for years and trust implicitly, everything still gets written down and signed off on. Even with the best will in the world, sometimes people understand things differently or remember them differently. Writing it all down also forces you into being precise about exactly what you’ve agreed to. I’m the first to admit that I should have insisted on this and that I should have known better.

Another lesson is one that I need to remind myself of every day. The more difficult or sensitive the issue, the closer you want you form of communication to be. In person is better than video chat, video chat is better than the phone, and anything, even a geriatric one-winged carrier pigeon suffering from tuberculosis, is better than email. Never, ever, ever transmit a negative message or discuss a sensitive issue via email. It’s a rule I break all the time, because email is just so convenient and is great for breaking down complex issues, but I really try to discipline myself not to.

And, oh yeah, legal insurance.

SC: Mike Long used to work with Mystery and now he’s been talking you up in his newsletters. Is a Mike Long – Love Systems alliance in the works?

SAVOY: This isn’t a board game, with alliances and enemies. If Mike Long finds value in what I or other Love Systems instructors have to offer, I’m pleased to make it available to him and his community. But it doesn’t change what we’re doing, and I don’t think it changes what he’s doing.

He’s an interesting and very successful guy, and what a lot of people don’t know about him is he has pretty good game himself.

SC: Will you still be publishing Game Over: The Rise and Fall of the Mystery Method?

SAVOY: No. That project is no longer relevant. In a way, it sucks because I put a lot of work into it and had three of the seven beats already written, and parts of it were really funny in a kind of dark and sarcastic sort of way. But it still comes from a place of negativity and I’m glad to be moving on from that. There’s a small amount of stuff in there I can save and use for a different book. I’m not sure exactly what that different book will be – the publisher I was working with is understandably a bit irritated with me at the moment.

SC: So now that the lawsuit is over and the book isn’t going to happen, what do you see as the future direction of Love Systems?

SAVOY: Love Systems is unique for a lot of reasons, most obviously how we’re structured. We don’t follow the guru system, which I think is usually (not always) counter-productive and dangerous. And this by the way has nothing to do with Mystery or the lawsuit; its one of the basic principles of Love Systems. Just because Guru X is good with women does not make him someone you should learn from. I can go to any bar in Hollywood and find guys who are good with women. But can they teach it to others? And will it work for different men, or just for guys who are kind of like the guru?

I’ll give you a couple of examples. I’m pretty big and tall, I naturally have a pretty dominant energy with women, and I have an intuitive feel for female sexuality and sexual triggers. When I’m out meeting women for myself, I use and leverage the hell out of these techniques. But none of this is in Magic Bullets and I don’t teach this stuff at bootcamps – unless I’m working with a guy who has similar attributes to me. The cool thing about Love Systems is that because of our diversity, stuff that works for all of us is virtually guaranteed to work for our students.

SC: [interrupting] What do you mean by diversity?

We have instructors from Sweden to Thailand. We have white instructors, Hispanic instructors, South Asian (Indian subcontinent) instructors, East Asian instructors, and black instructors. We have 5’3 guys and 6’3 guys. We have guys in their early 20s and guys who are almost 40. At least five instructors don’t even have English as a first language. And we’re all into different types of women. But we’re all successful with women, and we all use systems that are based off of Magic Bullets. So when one of us comes up with something and the rest of us try it out and it works, we know we’re onto something that probably relates to universal female psychology or social dynamics and we’re comfortable rolling it out. Of course, at our bootcamps, we take advantage of the opportunity of customizing our methodology for each student’s unique identity. That’s why we bring so many instructors to every bootcamp, and one of the reasons why live training is so important and valuable. But I don’t know whether the guy buying Magic Bullets is an 18-year old high school student or a divorced 55-year old investment banker, so I need to keep it pretty universal. I can’t assume that everyone is just like me. No one cares how Savoy picks up women. People want to pick up women themselves.

But, look, diversity is just one component. We don’t lower our standards one inch to get diversity – it’s just happened that way. We also have an intense focus on teaching. Having great game doesn’t get you in the door as a potential instructor. Having great game and a passion and a knack for teaching does. And then we train the hell out of you so you become an awesome instructor as well as pickup artist.

It’s kind of funny to see guys’ faces when a bootcamp starts, and someone like Mr. M or Cajun or Fader or LBD walks in. It’s like – they’ve heard all about these guys and expect them to godlike chick magnets. But they’re all short and none of them look like a pickup artist. You read about Mr. M picking up a playmate in just a few minutes in the hallway outside a bootcamp, and then this short little Asian dude walks into the room and people go WTF. But it’s also awesome because it helps students realize that there is nothing separating them from being as successful with women as an elite Love Systems lead instructor other than time, practice, and access to training.

Before, I was also going to give the example of Derek Cajun on Keys to the VIP, which I think you’ve written about on your blog. What I thought was awesome about that was that he decided to go on national TV and use the exact same system he teaches students – which is based on Magic Bullets. He didn’t use any of his personal techniques or stuff that is specifically calibrated to him – he just used the generic stuff you can get straight off the Love Systems website. He even used routines straight from the Love Systems Routines Manual. He did this to prove a point – what we teach works, and you don’t need years of study. Cajun was a student at one of our bootcamp’s just a year or so before he went on the show.

SC: Right, so…back to the question about the future direction of Love Systems?

Sorry I’m rambling, I just get so passionate this stuff. Well, something you’re going to see a lot more of in the future is our Game 2.0 initiative. We’ve pretty much mastered “cold approach” – both as practitioners and teachers. Yes, there’s always more to learn, and yes, we’re only really scratching the surface in terms of female psychology, but when you’re consistently going out and bringing home or dating the women you want, how much further do you really need to go? At our last Super Conference, the different instructor teams competed to see how many of their students took hot women home. Fader’s team was over 50%. The last LA bootcamp that I went to, 6 of the 8 students got laid – with hot women. This isn’t hype – this is verifiable information. Our training has gotten that good. Our instructors really are that good and that dedicated.

Game 2.0 is all about how can we leverage our cold approach skillsets. And that’s where you’re seeing all this exciting stuff like Braddock (Donovan: who I’m interviewing within the next two weeks) and Mr. M’s social circle mastery program. Now instead of trying to steal the hot girl off of the guy who come to the club with 6 beautiful women, we teach our students how to BE the guy who has the hot women in his social circle in the first place. You got Soul’s Day Game program, which fuses direct game, day game, and the Magic Bullets approach. You’ve got my relationship management stuff – the DVDs will be out in a couple months – that makes anything from traditional relationships, to multiple relationships, to friends with benefits into a breeze. And there’s lots more to come – some of this stuff isn’t ready to be announced but we can talk about it off the record.

SC: And that’s where we’ll keep it…unless I need to extort cash from you one day!

In pretty amazing news, Mystery the pickup artist, and Savoy of The Mystery Method and Love Systems have settled there lawsuits.

For all those who were bad mouthing Nick for the last year and a half… perhaps an apology?

Nick (Savoy) wrote the following on his blog:

There’s really not a whole lot to say. It was a sad and frustrating exercise. In addition to damages being paid in return for us dismissing defamation claims, there are a couple of statements from the other side that will clarify some of the misinformation that has been allowed to spread over the last 21 months. Nick, (Savoy) of Love Systems and Mystery Method, who featured on the show with Dr Phil, talked to me yesterday and gave me a closer look into the episode “Women Beware” with some behind the scenes stuff you might not have been aware of. How did you think your time with Dr Phil went?

It’s funny to look back on it now. The show was recorded in 2006 and the world was a lot different then. Love Systems didn’t exist as a company, though of course many of the top instructors who later came together to form Love Systems were active dating science coaches back then – like The Don (Scott) on the show. Magic Bullets hadn’t come out yet, the Love Systems’ Routines Manual didn’t exist, and what we teach has continued to develop and improve. Not only on the content side – we spend a lot more time now on frames and what we call the “physical conversation” with a woman, for example – but also in terms of how we teach. It’s way more interactive, with exercises and training tools that give each student what they need to succeed. We’ve gone way beyond the one-size-fits-all model that everyone used to teach.

So after all this time, watching Dr Phil was like being in a time warp.

A show like that is going to have very selective editing, and this episode definitely did – that’s why it looked like some things were totally out of context. Still, I think at least the first half of it gave a reasonable glimpse at what used to go on at a regular Mystery Method bootcamp, at least since Mystery stopped teaching them in 2005. The audience dynamic was interesting too. Even though the audience was whipped up into a frenzy by the “women beware!” stuff, the episode proved that if we explain what we do openly and factually, people will accept and endorse it. At least after the first half of the episode. Of course, we were naive and we believed the show’s producers when they told us what the show would be, so we never expected to be paired with the likes of con artists and Ross Jefferies. The second half of the episode probably dropped the show from a great success to a moderate one.

In the beginning of the show, you said you didn’t belong to the seduction community, can you explain why?

I don’t know what “the seduction community” is supposed to mean or what Dr. Phil meant by it. Usually when someone in the media asks me about the “seduction community”, they are about to bring up something idiotic that someone else has said or done and ask me to justify it. There are a lot of great companies that teach men how to succeed with women but there are also a lot of guys who do a ton of damage. Some are just naive and think “I can attract women, therefore I can teach others to attract women” while others are deliberately dishonest and manipulative; it doesn’t matter – I don’t want to speak for them or defend them.

Love Systems is what it is. We’re open about what we teach, we stand by what we teach, we explain what we teach and how we teach it on our website, and we are answerable to our clients through our money back guarantee, not to some notional, undefined “seduction community”.

Can you explain the behind the scenes reactions from audience members or others that participated on the show?

One thing I thought was interesting was when the producers planted those women at the bar in a kind of “gotcha” move – well I talked to one of them afterward. She told me the show contacted her for this episode after she’d written them a man-hating, player-hating rant. So it was obvious what their agenda was. But even with her, the show and experience changed her mind about us. I think The Don even got her number on the way out.

I thought Dr Phil, for his audience base, was very understanding of your position and guys learning these tactics. What were your thoughts on that?

I’ll give Dr Phil credit, especially since it would have been easier to go for the sensationalist cheap shots, which is what I think the show’s producers originally had in mind.

But I don’t think we have to have such low expectations. I don’t think “the mainstream” has to react badly to the idea of dating science being taught by and to men. I think it has a lot of time so far, but that’s more due to who has been in front of the camera and how they present themselves. If you look and act like a normal human being and explain without weird jargon that what you do is help men understand and succeed with women in the same way that women’s magazines and books help them understand and succeed with men, most people will be receptive. That’s what I’ve tried to do, and that’s what Love Systems is all about.

Like a few months ago, you remember when Cajun, a Love Systems instructor, went onto Keys to the VIP. Keys to the VIP is a pickup competition show. It’s not designed to make anyone look good – actually the judges love tearing the contestants down. When Cajun went on that show as a competitor, he went as a normal guy that people could relate to. Watching him, you don’t get the sense that you’d have to dress or sound so weird that your friends will run for cover. As Cajun has said himself many times, his approach for the show was “textbook Magic Bullets” but he still looks and sounds like a guy you could introduce to your friends.

Advanced dating science doesn’t have to have weird acronyms and complicated made-up words. If a concept is well thought out, it can usually be explained in simple English.

What has been the response of other people you know?

It’s been fun. It’s given me a great chance to connect with some people I’ve lost touch with, who found me through the show. Many of my friends have taken advantage of the opportunity to marvel at how much weight I must have gained since then. Oh yeah, my mother found it online today and called to say I looked very handsome =)
