Closing At Her Place

Once I started learning Love Systems, I was actually able to pull beautiful women home to my place. But in the meantime, I also got good at making things work by going back to her place. Here are four tips for closing at her place.

1) Find out where she lives.

This step seems obvious, but you’d be surprised how often it is unintentionally left out. When you know where a woman lives, you can plan ahead to deal with the logistical problems you’re going to hit later.

Does she live near the venue? Does she have a roommate? Is she in a dorm? Do you know of a cool bar/after hours joint near her place? When you want to bounce her back there, are you going to drive, walk, or take a cab? Even if you end up with a phone number + date instead of going home with her, this info will be useful for when you go out again.

Here are a few scenarios to consider, and ways I’ve figured out how to deal with them.

* Roommates: When there is a separate bedroom to retreat to, sacrificing a few minutes of conversation to win over the roommate(s) will make your being there a lot more comfortable. After they trust you, you can use any nonsense reason to bounce your girl to her bedroom. “Bet my room is cleaner than yours,” is one example.

* Cab ride: If she lives a cab ride away, be sure to keep up the momentum in the car, and continue to build up physical intimacy. If you were touching her arm in the bar, touch her leg in the cab. If you were about to make out in the bar, make out in the cab. Avoid cabs with bucket seats that make physical contact impossible.

* Dorm: If there’s a security guard, you can go through the lengthy (and vibe-killing) process of giving him your ID and signing in, or you can tell the girl to slide her card through and sneak in behind her. You get points for being resourceful, and it’s exciting because it seems like you’re doing something wrong.

* Shared bedroom: There are public bathrooms in dorms and hotels that I have found very accommodating when dealing with shared room situations. Be sure and scan for them when entering, and when it’s time to bounce to it, tell the girl that you’re “taking her on a field trip.”

2) Amp up the physical tension.

This is a huge topic that lots of Love Systems instructors have gone into incredible detail on, but the general principle is important. If you can get a girl sexually excited, then she’s going to want to bring you to a place where you can have sex as quickly as humanly possible. At Love Systems we teach everything you need to know to accomplish this goal, from framing the conversation sexually to escalating things physically, but in the meantime here are a few quick pointers to get you started:

* Always end a touch or kiss before they do/want you to.
* Drop the topic of sex into conversation (in a light, joking way) as quickly as possible.
* Start touching the way you’d touch your boss and build to the way you’d touch a girlfriend.

3) “Let’s get you home.”

It’s easy to think of reasons to give a woman why she has to come back to your place. Keep it simple. “Let me show you that book I was talking about,” is perfect. It gives her plausible deniability and doesn’t tip your hand.

It’s harder to do this with her place. “Do you want to take me home with you?” makes you sound like a stray dog, not a man. “Let’s go to your place” is totally cliché thanks to every movie from the 1970s. “Let’s get out of here” is great if it’s obvious and explicit that she wants to have sex, but if you’re still flying a bit under the radar or her friends are around, you’re going to need something a little more subtle.

Instead, take the lead with “let’s get you home.” It’s a little dominant, it shows you know how to lead, but it also doesn’t trigger state breaks. If her friends are around, it implies that you are just going to make sure that she gets home safe. She shouldn’t feel any pressure since there’s really nothing implied. And if nothing’s going to happen, then there’s no reason she can’t bail on her friends, right?

4) Assume you’re going upstairs.

There’s nothing more awkward than walking a woman home and standing there silent for an eternity waiting for her to invite you up. Avoid this situation by assuming that she’ll be bringing you upstairs. Do not pause by the door. Do not say “Well, it was nice hanging out with you.” Keep the momentum of the interaction going as though you are still in the process of hanging out.

If she has to invite you in, that’s risking a state break.

Of course, there will be times when she suggests that you don’t come up, either because she doesn’t want to appear easy, or because she thinks letting you upstairs is an implicit agreement that you’ll be sleeping together. You can usually defuse this by giving yourself a bedtime. “I’ve got work in the morning, so I can only come up for a little bit” is one of my favorites. Say this before she even gets a chance to tell you why you can’t come in – like you coming in is a foregone conclusion.

Introduction To Day Game

Introduction
If meeting women in the daytime is something you’re interested in then this primer is for you. It contains the basic information on day game that I present at most bootcamps I instruct at. In my opinion, this is what you need to know to get out there and start meeting people outside of a nightclub environment.

Opening
I find the greatest consistency and satisfaction using direct openers such as:

‘Excuse me, I saw you from over there.and I’d regret it all day if I didn’t come met you.because you look absolutely gorgeous. (EXTEND HAND TO SHAKE) Hi, I’m Keychain, what’s your name?’

Direct openers like this (recently popularized by Sebastian Drake, Soul, Dr.Yen etc.) usually open quite strongly and provide a good platform for you to launch the conversation from. At the very least, it’s nice to say nice things to people – it’ll make you feel good and give her positive emotions too.

There’s nothing wrong with starting a conversation in another style such as indirect, functional, comedic etc. There are lots of examples of these types of openers online and you’ll want to come up with your own as the situation dictates. Here are a few to get you started:

- ‘Hey do you know where the nearest Starbucks is?’
- She’s reading a book: ‘What are you reading?’
- She’s wearing head/earphones: ‘What are you listening to? I’m bored of my current playlist’ (credit Sasha) – take her iPod and start teasing/appreciating her playlist (my addition).
- She’s in a shop or coffee house, deliver with comedy: ‘I saw you from out there and had to come meet you. I just couldn’t let a pane of glass stand between us and true love.’ (Credit Sasha)

If the girl is sat or stationary, you can just walk over to her and deliver your opener. If she’s moving, I’ll always approach from behind, even if it means letting her walk past to get my angle.

To stop a moving set, approach from behind and touch the inside of the elbow gently with two fingers. You can also touch the triceps area or the back of the forearm. Say ‘excuse me’ to get her attention, stop walking as she turns towards you and then deliver your opener.

To further stop her forward momentum and start the transition to conversation, extend your hand to shake hers. Give your name and ask for hers. She will, as most people would, automatically shake your hand and give you her name. From here, you’re ready to transition.

A Common Trap With Direct Openers
Don’t try to solicit a reaction. So many guys get addicted to the big, gushing reactions that you will occasionally get from your direct approaches and ‘look’ for it every time. Instead of being an expression of their personality and core intent, the direct opener becomes a tool to chase a reaction.they deliver it and wait for the big WOW! It’s approval-seeking and not attractive.

Try this frame: Her beauty/vibe/aura moved you to approach. Something in your core just said ‘yes’. So you’re going to go meet her, express your core and see if she’s the kind of girl you might connect with and would like in your life. Self-expression, without the need for approval, mixed with a curious fascination for her as a unique creature.

Transition to Conversation
After opening, I like to stack and cycle through the following transition material until I find a topic that you’re both interested in and can naturally talk about together (what Sebastian Drake calls a ‘click topic’). Perhaps you both enjoy traveling or you both like the movies of a certain director.

To that end, here are three content-questions that you can ask to mine for a click topic.

1)What are doing in London/Oslo/Melrose today? (this also allows you to find out how much time you might have to talk. If she’s rushing to meet friends, better go for the number. If she’s just ’shopping’, you might try for an instant-date later in the conversation)
2)What do you do for a living?
3)What do you do for fun?

As recommended by Wayne Elise, these can either be delivered statement/question or question/statement. In other words, you might start by talking about what you’re doing in central London and then ask her what she’s up to (statement/question). Or you might ask her first and then answer your own question when she’s done (question/statement). Either way, be prepared to supply the initial content and energy of the interaction.

It’s not unusual for a person to be a little on-guard when approached by a stranger in the street or a coffee shop and give quite short answers. Allow her initial shyness, she’ll warm up as your statements build comfort and convey your attractive personality.

Another conversation technique I enjoy is to talk about a character trait I enjoy, explain why I enjoy it and then ask her if she has it. I came up with this by combining Mr.M’s ideas about high-value frame attraction and Sebastian Drake’s ‘click topics’. This ’soft qualification’ is a great way to add value to a conversation and qualify in a high-value way. The more astute among you may recognize some sexual framing in this material also. Lately I’ve been teaching this at a lot of bootcamps and the results have been so encouraging that I recommend you add this technique to your arsenal.

For example:
‘I really like people who travel, I love to travel myself. There’s something about people who travel.there’s an open-mindedness to new experiences and a non-judgmental quality that I really like. Do you like to travel?’

‘I like to surround myself with creative people. They have an energy and a fresh way of looking at life that really energizes me. What do you do for fun?’

If you can’t find a click topic, consider that perhaps the two of you have nothing to click on and are better off moving on to meet other people. With practice, however, you’ll find you can find a way to connect with almost anyone you meet. Remember to listen with curiosity and interest.

Thoughts on Conversation
All the principles of social interaction you’ll find in Magic Bullets and the other materials are relevant here. On top of these, I’d suggest focusing on glimpsing the girl underneath her social facade and being open enough for her to get a glimpse of you under yours.

It’s easy to view interactions with girls as a ‘game’ in which you say certain things, touch your ‘target’ in a certain way to either win or lose the game. This kind of thinking serves to dehumanize the girl who is, after all, a unique person just like you. What if the simple meeting of both of your personalities, opinions and experiences could provide enough content for an attractive, successful conversation?

Don’t forget to be fun and humorous. Tease a little to inject some spice, have fun with the conversation. There’s no need to be intense and serious all the time – in fact, this can be quite creepy! Try a fun role play or future projection, experiment with the attraction materials in Magic Bullets to spice things up. Beware of making these the focus of your content though, remember that you and her are enough to have a great conversation.

Find your own style of interaction. When you meet a man who is successful with girls, by all means copy his style but only to gain an understanding of the underlying principles that make him so successful. Don’t be a clone, you’ll get much better results as a great version of you.

Taking Things Further
Where can you take the conversation after you’re clicking and enjoying one another? Depending on the logistics of the situation, you might try these options:
- suggest a future meeting and exchange contact details.
- suggest going to get a coffee right then and there.
- my first day game approach ended with a hand job in a nearby photo-booth. You could shoot for this if the mood strikes.

Conclusion

The skill of meeting people and having great conversations is a vast one with room for a lifetime of learning and experimentation. It’s a lot of fun and comes with lots of benefits, not least all of the beautiful women you’ll meet!

With this basic information you’ve got all you need to start meeting girls in the daytime. The most important thing you could do with what you’ve read is start applying it in real conversations.

The Secret To Picking Up Women On Valentines Day

I don’t recommend most bars and clubs for Valentine’s Day. Unless you’re going to a high-end venue where they keep the ratios good, you’re likely to be surrounded by groups of desperate men and few attractive women.

This kills the vibe and puts a woman on the defensive. She’ll automatically associate you with these guys.

So… if you are going out like this, prepare for LOTS of “tests.” There’s no way a hot woman is going to let herself get picked up on Valentine’s Day without testing you first. Make sure you have great responses to questions like this:

“Why don’t you have a girlfriend?”
“Why aren’t you on a date on Valentine’s Day?”
“Why are you talking to us?”
“When’s the last time you had a girlfriend?”

By the way – it’s “responses” not “answers.” Actually answering questions like these is usually the EXACT WRONG way to handle a test. Dating expert Jeremy Soul has produced the best guide for handling tests – it’s about an hour long and you can listen to it right away.

That covers bars and clubs. Parties are usually a much better bet. There ARE parties full of attractive single people happening on Valentine’s Day. There the odds are unbelievably in your favor, since just by knowing people in common, you’ll be “safe” for a hot single woman who might be feeling lonely on Valentine’s Day to go home with.

If you don’t have an invite to an A-list nightclub or private party, then start with what you DO have – your phone. Send a text message (SMS) to every attractive woman you might be interested in. Even – ESPECIALLY – women you’ve lost touch with. The “dead phone numbers.”

This text should be simple and “bait” her into responding. For example:

“Happy Valentine’s Day – [Your Name]”

Make sure you put your name in the text message. If you don’t (especially if you’re hitting old phone numbers too), you risk the momentum-killing response “who is this?”

Some women will respond back. And that’s when the dance starts. Continue, and escalate the conversation. No matter how attracted she was when you first met, you’ll need to rebuild some attraction through text.

These days, with every hot woman plugged into her phone, there’s no excuse for not being good at Phone and Text Game. It’s not a skill you can avoid or cover up if you want to pick up beautiful women.

Once you’ve got her past the Hook Point, then casually ask her what she’s doing “tonight.” Not “for Valentine’s” – just say “tonight” like it’s any other Sunday.

THIS IS JUST A QUESTION. DO NOT ASK HER OUT.

There are a million different responses you might get, but there’s only one thing that’s important. Either she has firm plans or she doesn’t.

If she doesn’t have firm plans, then invite her out. But not on a date. That’s too weird, especially if you haven’t been in close contact with her. Tell her that you and your friends are going out for a few drinks and invite her to “join up later.”

Ideally you should frame it in a way that implies that it’s a mixed group or she might worry it’s a bunch of lonely guys on the prowl.

People love how the Routines Manual and the Ultimate Guide to Text and Phone Game give the exact wording of the right things to say for any situation, so I’m going to use that approach here.

You: “[Random Content]. So what are you up to tonight?”

Her: “I’m not sure, right now I’m just hanging out.” You: “Cool, I’m going to a friend’s place for a bit then we’re heading out. She lives in [neighborhood] so we’ll probably go out there. Come join up later!”

Did you notice how the last message is designed to get the word “she” into the text in a way that doesn’t seem forced?

If you’ve rebuilt attraction properly using Dynamite Theory and other powerful techniques (or copy and paste text messages) from the Ultimate Guide to Text and Phone Game, from here on in it will be about logistics.

She might bring a friend. If so, bring one of your own. If she wonders where “everyone else” is, say something plausible and then transition to a better topic. For example:

“It’s like Valentine’s Day survivor. Jessica’s still there drunk dialing her ex-boyfriend, (she’ll be back in a few), Dave and Kayla went to do some couples stuff and Jay – well let’s just say that Jay shouldn’t drink on an empty stomach. Hey, that reminds me [and go into a funny story - pick one straight from the Routines Manual if you like]…”

Do NOT act like it’s Valentine’s Day or make it all romantic. Go to a bar or club, have some drinks, and have fun. She’s likely planning to sleep with you anyway.

What if she does have plans?

No big deal. You’re not seeing her tonight. But, you can use this opportunity to reconnect with her and see her later/next week…

… IF – and only IF – you keep your line of retreat open. Once she shows you that she’s not coming out, tell her what you’re doing. It should be something you couldn’t have conceivably invited her to, so that your “what are you up to tonight?” is social chatter instead of a rejected Valentine’s date.

For example:

You: “[Random Content]. So what are you up to tonight?”

Her: “Going out with friends, you?”

You: “Getting used to being an uncle. I’m in Chicago this weekend; my sister just had a baby!”

Or

“Heading to a party later. But it’s a white party and I have nothing all-white. Might make friends with bleach.”

Continue on with BOTH attraction AND comfort-building through text messages (again, the Ultimate Guide is plug-and-play here) and you should get a few dates lined up for this week – even from women with “dead” phone numbers.

Interview with Nick Savoy on Text and Phone Game

Nick Savoy is President and Program Leader of Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method). I’m interviewing him today on their upcoming book The Ultimate Guide to Text and Phone Game that is coming out January 21st, 2010.

The name of the book speaks for itself, but can you give us an idea what we can expect?

Sure. We have noticed from years teaching Love Systems that most beginners and intermediate guys all run into the same problem: turning phone numbers into dates. They start to get good at building attraction and getting phone numbers, but these phone numbers don’t go anywhere.

All over the forums we see the same topic over and over again. Guys getting phone numbers but the women never respond to their calls and/or text messages. So we saw a challenge to fix this problem and Braddock took the initiative by writing The Ultimate Guide to Text and Phone Game with co-editor Mr M and help of more Love Systems instructors.

The book has over 160 pages of content on how to turn phone numbers into dates and preventing flaky phone numbers. We address a lot of commonly asked problems when it comes to phone and text game, including:

What is the best way to ask for a phone number?

Should you call or text first?

What should I text a girl for the first time?

When is the best time to call a girl?

What are some of the do’s and don’ts of calling and texting?

And many more. You can read some text message interactions our team of instructors has had that led to dates. We also have a lot of unpublished stock text lines, role plays, and techniques to sexualize a text conversation.

What is the most common mistake most guys make with phone and text game?

There are a bunch of them but I will give you two. First, a phone number in itself is not worth much. It is merely a tool you can use to meet up with the girl you are interested in. When you want to seriously date a woman, your goal should be to start a sexual relationship as soon as possible. Whether you take her home the same night from the bar or from your first date, start that sexual relationship as soon as possible. Like Jeremy Soul says, a relationship does not start till you two have slept with each other.

So getting a phone number should not be one of your goals or something you want to settle for. There are exceptions of course like when she is the designated driver for her three friends or when you meet a woman in the day time. In the latter case you will most likely settle for a phone number and then go on a date. However, in both cases if you have the chance to push the interaction that could end in sleeping with each other, take it.

Another common mistake is not making plans when you get the phone number. A lot of guys will say something like “let’s hangout” or “let’s go out sometime” and then go for the phone number. At that moment, she might have wanted to hang out with you or gone out with you but then the next day she might not feel the same. Instead, before you get a woman’s phone number you should try to set plans with her to go out. So you could say something like “What days are you off? Thursday.perfect. Let’s go out Thursday night for some drinks.” As a result of setting up the date you then get the phone number.

Setting up a date is like a transaction and the receipt of the transaction is the phone number. Just doing this will reduce the amount of flaky phone numbers.

Can you ever turn a flaky phone number into a date?

Short answer: Yes. In the book Braddock explains his Dynamite Theory how you can turn flaky phone numbers into dates.

The basic idea is that every girl will have to be treated differently based on how she initially responds to your phone calls and/or text messages. If the girl is very responsive you want to meet up as soon as possible.

On the other end of the spectrum, if the girl does not respond to your first call or text message you need to adjust your phone & text game. You need to slowly increase the intensity and frequency of communication (all explained in the book with stock field tested texts and voicemails).

If there is one piece of advice you could give a new guy for tonight, what would it be?

Don’t settle for the phone number. Push the interaction as far as you can. Once you really know there is absolutely no way you can take the girl back home, only then try to setup a date and get her phone number.

Phone Numbers and Investment

I have a Braddock, an awesome coach from Love Systems, sharing some of his expertise on what to do once you have a girl’s phone number. Braddock of Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) is an expert on phone and text game. His new book The Ultimate Guide to Text and Phone Game is all about tips and techniques on turning (dead) phone numbers into dates. Today he will be sharing his tips on when you should ask for a phone number.

Let’s see if you can identify yourself with this situation: You get a phone number from a girl but she will not respond to your text messages or phone calls.

Sounds familiar?

What you have is a flaky phone number. Most of the time flaky numbers are a symptom of something you did wrong when you first met the girl.

What most guys do wrong is as soon they see the girl is a little bit interested they will ask for the phone number. In other words, as soon the girl is a little bit attracted the guy will see that as a green light to get her phone number.

What is the mistake? You are asking too early for the phone number.

Remember that women live in the emotional moment. This means she may have genuinely wanted to give you her number at that moment and gone out with you, but one or two days later she is not feeling the exact same way she did when you first met.

So when is the right time to ask for her phone number?

The short answer is: once she has invested herself in you.

Invested? What does that mean?

Let me first explain what investment is in the dating context.

Investment is essential to reducing flaky phone numbers and thus getting girls to respond to your calls. As humans we value things we work for. That is the basic idea behind investment. The more she will invest in us, the more “valuable” we are to her. Let me give you an example.

Do you remember when you received money for your birthday?

That was easy money because you didn’t do anything to get it. That money was also easily spent. Few years later, you got your first job where you had to work hard for your money.

Did you spend that money just as easy?

No, because you understood the value of money once you had to work for it.

The same idea applies to dating. If women do not work for your attention and interest, they will not value you as much. We want women to work for you and invest themselves into you. That in return will make women more attracted to you and someone who she wants to see again.

Getting woman attracted is not good enough. Attraction is just a fleeting feeling. She might have been attracted to you at the moment you got her phone number, but that attraction might be gone the next day.

When you get investment from the girl you solidify that attraction a little bit more. Within Love Systems we call that Qualification and that is worth explaining in another article. Let me give you five actionable items you can use today that will help you reduce flaky phone numbers:

-Build an emotional connection first before asking for the phone number

-Move her around the venue multiple times

-Bounce to a different venue if you can

-Getting her to save your (nick) name and phone number in her phone

-Hint at meeting up in the future and if she is agrees, then ask for the phone number.

Here is a simple exercise you can do. Go out for a few weeks and don’t ask for numbers unless SHE hints at meeting up with you. Push the levels of attraction and emotional connection to a point where she is almost coming on to you. This is hard to do and not something you can do every time but it’s a good exercise. It will help you see the window of when you should ask for the number.

People act to fulfill their roles. Dress like a loser and it’s easy to act like one. Dress like a man who makes things happen, and you fall into that role.

(Have you ever put on a suit and instantly felt a bit more powerful? That’s what I’m talking about.)

Look at the military. They’re not dummies. They insist on every aspect of your appearance and dress being exact and to specifications. They want behavior that is exact, and to specifications. They’re not a huge fan of individual flair.

In my female psychology interview, I explained how women are bound both by “macro” (general) rules and “micro” rules – the ones that apply to specific friends in specific situations.

There’s nothing in the air in Ibiza or Las Vegas that makes women want to have sex. But, sex happens more – partly because the “micro” rules of female social groups let this happen without a hit to their reputation.

Halloween is the same way. She’ll be dressed for sex. Her friends will be dressed for sex. There is a lot of flirting and competing for attention. It’s the kind of night when a woman who doesn’t normally go home with a new guy will make an exception.

TWO: ROLE PLAYS

You already know that role plays are a MAJOR building block for attraction.

This goes double in high-energy, nightclub-type environments.

It goes triple with younger women. And quadruple on Halloween.

Not only are they super-effective – almost NECESSARY – but they’re really easy. After all, you are both wearing costumes. You’re already role-playing!

This makes your choice of costume important. It’s the role you’ll be playing. Her costume will be skanky, so run with that. You could be a pimp. Or a cop. Or a Rockstar and she’s your groupie, etc.

Choose anything compatible with “skanky costume” and run with it. It should also be higher-value than hers. Drop the opinion openers and either approach direct or approach “in character.”

THREE: THESE ARE YOUR USUAL GIRLS…

Halloween is like New Year’s Eve for another reason…

A lot of women will be out partying who don’t usually go out. That means more variety. The girl who has better things to do most Saturdays than another night at the club will still be out on Halloween.

That means you should be also.

It also means that you’re not going to get all of the usual “tests” from club-going women.

Women who go out every night get hit on a lot. They have ways of putting you on the spot and other tests they do to see which men are worth their time.

(It’s incredibly counter-productive, because most of these women say they don’t want “players.” But, they set up tests that only guys who have been around the block a few times – players – can pass. Anyway, this is advice for men, not for women, so moving on…)

Now you should know how to handle tests. Any hot woman whom you don’t know will test you at least a little.

So, these women that don’t usually go out… who are dressed sexier than usual… surrounded by other beautiful, scantily-clad women…

They will want validation.

It’s important to give them enough validation to get them interested, but not enough to complete the circle. Always leave them wanting more.

Giving and making a woman work for validation is what “Qualification” is all about. Qualification happens right after Attraction – so once she’s attracted to you, qualify her.

Alright, now here are some specific, practical things you can do to get the girl this weekend:

If you have a nice body, use Halloween to show it off. Women do. You’ll be laughed at with an open chest most nights, but not on Halloween.
Plan your opener along with your costume. If you’re a rock star, approach her saying “I knew Groupie #51 was around here somewhere.” Smile. She’ll play along.
Make sure of your logistics. There are lots of house parties on Halloween, and these make great excuses to leave the club or another party with her. You have friends that you HAVE to introduce her to. If you get to the party and they aren’t there, no one will care.
Better still, use the gap to swing by your house “to pick up a bottle” or “to get my wallet.” Only mention that once you start driving. She may not want to go to the next party either.
You can probably see by now how planning is key. The pit stop between your houses has to be natural and at least somewhat on the way.

“Pulls” are a bit easier because no one can find their friends anyway. So are “bathroom pulls” or other more exotic encounters – the costumes give a feeling of anonymity. That can be a powerful fantasy for a lot of women.

3 Key Dating Mistakes

One of my strengths has always been: give me an evening alone with a girl who likes me – even if she only likes me a little bit – and I’ll convert that into something physical. The woman who I’m seeing at the moment broke a string of 23 first-dates that ended in sex.

Every Love Systems instructor has a unique specialty. Mine is dates. A date is a chance for you and a girl to get to know each other, and if you like each other, a great chance to get the awkwardness out of future interactions by taking her to bed.

Being great at dates is about as much work as being great at pickup. And, like pickup, there are a few basic horrible mistakes you can make that are hard to come back from. Avoiding these won’t make you great, but will save you from the worst problems.

1) Not Meeting Her Close to Where You Want To End Up

Women hate awkwardness. And they also hate doing anything that makes them feel too easy, or obligated to have sex. That’s why when a woman is coming home with you, she’ll often say “We’re not having sex tonight!” Just smile, say okay, and know your odds are actually pretty good.

But, if you’ve met her on a date at an art gallery 20 miles away from your house, how are you going to get her back to your place afterwards? Anything that looks like effort is going to put up her “don’t be too easy” defenses – any plan that she makes that she can’t easily change again is going to make her back down – such as you driving her to your place in the middle of the night.

If you want to make this easy for yourself, get women to meet you close to your house. If you’ve made the effort to move somewhere exciting, this will be easy – it should be full of fun bars and cafes. If not, you may have to make do with the local dive bar.

If you want to get the first night’s sex out of the way quickly, meet her at a place where the transition back to your place for “one last glass of wine” won’t seem contrived, or like one of you is expending a lot of effort to make it happen.

2) Choosing Really Bad Dates Where You Can’t Interact

If a woman is coming on a date with you, she already likes you. What needs to happen next is the two of your need to talk, connect, build some tension, and make it happen.

Don’t take her to watch a movie. Invite her over to watch a DVD on your couch with a blanket and a bottle of wine, where you can discuss and interrupt the movie. Sitting next to her in a crowded movie theatre for 2 hours? How’s that going to help?

Many guys seem to approach their dates from a “make sure nothing goes wrong!” point of view. They’re just waiting out their time from meeting the girl to a sensible time for her to invite herself in, and hoping it happens. It rarely does.

3) Pressuring For Sex / Escalating Badly

Women love sex, but they hate feeling bad about having had sex. Preventing that is up to you. Women don’t want to seem too easy or feel obligated. Yet somehow, you still need to guide them into your house, onto the sofa next to you, and make it happen.

For this reason, she needs to be able to maintain plausible deniability the whole time, from meeting you right up to getting her clothes off. It needs to “just happen.” This is largely a function of framing – which if you’re at the Super Conference this weekend, you’ll hear me talk all about.

But for now, here are three things you can do:

Have a good reason you’re going back to your place – for me, the old standby was “I’ve got this great bottle of wine and I’m resenting paying $10 a glass here!” When I was living with my parents, I’d say to girls “I don’t want to get a taxi home – do you have a sofa I can crash on?” We’re looking for vaguely plausible reasons here, rather than water-tight…

Throw in a little disqualifier as you escalate. For example: “Okay, you can see my bedroom, but no sex tonight! I’m on my period,” used to work well for me. Also excellent are “I’m putting you in a taxi at 11pm on the dot, so don’t be disappointed!” and “It’s okay, you can crash. I have the world’s biggest bed; it has a barrier you can put up in the middle.”

Set a frame about her staying over, but nothing will happen. Some women are just shy. Giving them a shirt of yours to sleep in, snuggling under the duvet, and turning the lights off are a magical combination. Turns out it’s very easy for something to “Just Happen” in situations like that.

Guys, dates should be a lot of fun, and you’re able to control a lot of factors in them. Remember to pull the trigger, and have a think about if you’re making any of the mistakes above!

Q & A With Savoy About Love Systems Super Conference (Video)

I did a Q&A with the founder of Love Systems and author of Magic Bullets to find out what to expect at the upcoming Super Conference in Las Vegas, Oct 9-11th, 2009 is about:

Q: What is the Love Systems Super Conference?

The Love Systems Super Conference is the big annual event for people learning, teaching, or studying how to attract, date, and seduce beautiful women. It’s where the best of the best dating coaches come to share ideas, network, and of course to present their newest and best breakthroughs. It is three days filled with seminars, live exercises, and infield (going out to meet women with dating coaches instructing you).

It started as the Mystery Method Super Conference back in 2005 but renamed to Love Systems Super Conference in 2007. Past speakers have included:

- Mystery PUA (aka Erik Von Markovik, of VH1 The Pickup Artist, creator of The Mystery Method)
- Style (aka Neil Strauss, author of The Game)
- Savoy (author of Magic Bullets)

All Love Systems instructors will be flying in to be at the Super Conference. There will also be other guest speakers and so far Brad P, Dr Paul, and David Wygant have confirmed to come. We have a couple more in the works with a surprise guest lined up.

There are two packages: Silver and Gold.

The Silver level attendees will be able to attend all the live exercises and seminars during the Super Conference. The Gold level attendees will also be able to do live exercises and seminars, but will also go out two nights with infield coaching by our instructors. The price for Silver is $947 and Gold is $3,797.

Q: When and where is the Super Conference taking place?

It will take place in Las Vegas, NV, USA at the Hard Rock Hotel. The exact date is October 9-11 (three days). We chose Vegas because it’s affordable for people come to Vegas and there are plenty of beautiful women from all across the globe partying it up.

Q: What sessions can we expect at the Super Conference?

What’s great about the Super Conference is that we will have two rooms booked. There will be two sessions running at the same time in the seminar and breakout room.

The breakout room will all be interactive. That’s where people will be able to talk to instructors and work with them on a particular part of their game. These live exercises include:

* Approaching and Transitioning – Get your approaching skills down!

* Teasing and Bantering – How to think on your feet and build attraction FAST!

* Physical Escalation – Touching gets results and prevents you getting in the friend zone!

* Body Language – Project confidence with your walk, posture, and gestures!

* Frame Control – Steer interactions the way you want it to go!

The seminar room is where the instructors and guest speakers will reveal their latest breakthroughs, give lectures, and talk about specific topics on dating.

You decide what you want to do because there are always two sessions running at the same time. If you want to work with an instructor, you can go to the breakout room. If you want to listen to a lecture on a specific topic, the seminar room is where you want to be. You can tailor the whole weekend to your own level of game. If you’re new to the game I would suggest you mix it up with breakout and seminar sessions.

Q: Do you need to have taken one of your bootcamps or seminars before you go can go the Super Conference?

It is true that the Super Conference will be covering a lot of advanced techniques and never before revealed secrets. However, you do not have to have taken a bootcamp or seminar of ours to go to the Super Conference. Even if you are completely new, if you take the Gold level (which includes infield) you will get the same experience as a normal bootcamp. The added bonus is that you will work with more instructors than a normal bootcamp, so you will get to see a lot of different styles of game and get feedback from a lot of different instructors.

One day before the start of the Super Conference we have set up an optional introductory program for new students. The Head Start seminar is about getting the foundations of solid game right. It will allow you to walk into the Super-Conference confident that you fully know and understand the underpinnings behind the game and to enable you to get the most out of the advanced theories that will be put forth throughout the weekend.

Q: Will there be a DVD of the Super Conference?

Short answer: No.

When we release our latest breakthroughs, we want to keep it to the people who will be at the Super Conference. Normally we release sensitive information only on the Lounge, a private forum for people who have done training with Love Systems, but we will be discussing all new theories, routines, and techniques in person at the Super Conference. That’s why we have people sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to prevent our secrets and breakthroughs from leaking to the public.

Q: It’s too expensive for me. Anything I can do to still make it to the Super Conference?

We understand that in this tough economy money can be tight. We normally don’t offer payment plans but we want to help men out as much as we can so we are making an exception for this Super Conference.

If you can’t afford the Gold level ticket, you might want to consider the Silver level ticket. You can attend and participate in all seminars and live exercises, and it’s only the night training that you’ll be missing out on. Although there will be loads of other guys who will be eager to head out on the town with you!

Sinn - One of my favorite things about Super Conferences is being around all of the instructors. Every one of them is a really cool guy. Can’t wait till next year!

Psilite – I had a lot of fun and thought this whole Super Conference was genius! Especially the way the rooms were set up. There was A LOT of information that was gold in the entire Super Conference! Much of it helped me a lot when I went out that same day. I wish I had a gold or higher ticker to go out with the instructors.

J The Ripper – My brain is still on overload as I’m trying to sort out all the knowledge that was handed down by the Love Systems instructors. They had a really cool format where you could basically choose your own schedule. The upstairs auditorium was dedicated to seminars, which was one speaker after another. Each speaker would discuss a different topic (ie Approach Anxiety. Routines, Day Game, Qualification, 10 Min. lays, Female Psychology, etc…) The side room and downstairs room were dedicated to group exercises, where the instructors would go over a certain aspect of game, and then coach you on it and give you instant feedback (teasing and bantering, storytelling, frame control, etc). I had a great time and recommend everyone check it out next year.

Capo - What can I say? I mean… the Super Conference offered way more than I thought, I mean, it was way better than I had anticipated, even having read all of what was posted on the site. I thought it was going to be a really fun and educational weekend… it turned out to be one of the funnest and coolest (educational as well) weekends I’ve ever had, it was really awesome. Every single instructor that took the stage or got to be in charge of the workout room was very knowledgeable and they all took as much time as needed to answer all the questions they were being asked. The Super Conference was awesome, I met a lot of really cool guys and got to hang out with some of the best instructors in the world, what more can I ask for?

SirSlick – Whatever you want, LS has instructors that are experts on different areas and you can just walk up to them and ask them whatever you need to know. I never had the idea that the instructors “were better” than the attendees. My impression of them was they were genuine in helping people and were just like “us”. I’d highly suggest for everyone to get a SC BC, it’s worth the money. I’m college student and tight on money, but the investment was totally worth it. It totally opened my reality on what I can do now and in the future. The BC definitely cut my learning curve by several months up to maybe a year, because it eliminated two sticking points and now I know what weaknesses I have in my game. With that I also have exercises and notes on how to improve my success with women.

Goodrake - While it’s great to hear someone talk about it, seeing the instructors do it, answer questions, and then watch and evaluate as the students did it was a great learning process. Almost without exception each of the presenters showed both a real depth of knowledge and experience about the subject matter, and a genuine passion for sharing this with the attendees and seeing it benefit them. If you come to one of these or a bootcamp, be sure to be prepared to take a lot of notes, in a quick and organized fashion. When the instructors are in their groove, the information is flowing. If knowledge is water, think of it as trying to drink from a fire hose. Even though I’ve been studying and applying this stuff for about a year, there’s still plenty of new insights to be gained from attending, as well as retouching on foundational stuff, and the occasional “light bulb over head” moment, when the clouds part and you see something you didn’t see before. How much is a “breakthrough” worth to you?

Monk – As I began talking to other attendees, I realized the lengths community members were willing to go to to attend this event. I met guys from all over CA, from the east coast, and instructors from London, Sweden, Paris, Thailand and other exotic locales. Everyone. Thank you. My life is different. Fears and doubts I’ve had since adolescence are gone, perhaps forever.

Guythano – I really had quite a bit of fun, but more importantly conquered some sticking points. It all just suddenly clicked. A week after I returned, it just started raining women. I would just like to thank everyone again for all their efforts to make the superconference possible and if you have the chance to go, I highly recommend that you do!

Xander - Let me just say that Love Systems truly is dating science. It’s an accurate term. It’s the most cutting edge, advanced stuff around and it’s constantly being refined by great tactical seducers. Overall a life-changing weekend and a total bargain.

Jiggawha - I was so surprised at everyone’s high levels of positive energy, and when I heard the instructors speak, I was instantly blown away. Every word that they spoke struck me with an “AHA!” moment, and shot my motivation up the roof. They were so down to earth that I felt I had a chance of becoming like them. I had already gotten my money’s worth. I usually never talk to my parents deeper than an informational level, but I called my mom Monday night, and we had a deep conversation for half an hour about my life and about her’s. It literally almost brought me to tears when I got off the phone with her; also making me realize how much I’ve changed over this past weekend. She told me how much she enjoyed the conversation, and I agreed. A conversation beyond an informational level hasn’t happened in over 5-10 years. Before that, I had dinner with a good friend of mine and we also had a really deep conversation about everything. He commented on how very different I am now, after coming out of this conference. All the attendees and instructors have changed my life and my eyes have been opened to new perspectives once more. Coming into the conference, I couldn’t even open a set properly, but after that first failed set, the learning has never stopped. Every single one of you has had an impact on me. Life has meaning again. Thank you so much.

Cleanface - The conference this year was nothing short of amazing! What an awesome event!

Zyder – The Love Systems Super Conference in Vegas was a really exceptional experience. Considering that I only first started reading Magic Bullets on my flight over from Paris then to say I was a newbie to all this material would be a bit of an understatement! The seminars covered pretty much every aspect of gaming women. Three days of seminars with the instructors often around and between sessions to answer your questions was such a great deal. I was genuinely shocked by how articulate and knowledgeable the instructors were.

Tenorio - I walked away from EVERY presentation having learned something — and that’s saying a lot, since I’ve read everything. Going out both nights in Gold Level groups…well, I don’t know what to say. There’s no better way to put theoretical lessons into action than through practice, and Gold Level was a perfect way to do this. I left the weekend with some sticking points nailed and a concrete gameplan for my evolution going forward. There’s not much more I could ask for.

SSnake – There was lots material that I had never heard or read and getting it straight from the horses mouth made all the difference. Of course, there is already more good material on-line, in books, and on CD then you could ingest in a life-time. I went to actually hang out with these instructors and network with other students. You can’t get that from media.

Love Systems On Tyra Banks Show

I asked Nick Savoy about his experience on the Tyra Banks Show:

Q. What was the audience reaction to you?

A. At first the audience felt little skeptical. Tyra is all about empowering women. I think that’s great, but some people misinterpret empowering women as being against the Love Systems movement.

Of course, that’s backwards, because Love Systems is all about what works and what beautiful women respond to in the real world. If women responded to men eating ice cream, Love Systems would be run a Baskin Robbins franchise. But women respond to the techniques of the Love Systems Triad – our original model of dating and seduction. So that’s what we teach and what we use ourselves.

Q. What do you think Tyra Banks was trying to accomplish by having you on the show?

A. I think it was a mix of entertainment, curiosity, and giving her audience a bit of insight on how men about dating and relationships. But I’m not really sure – her people didn’t try to script us.

I think she wanted to show both extremes – first a guy who could be attractive to women but doesn’t get what he wants because he doesn’t know how to get women to respond to him. And then guys like Braddock or myself who were once in that position, studied Love Systems, and are living life the way we want to.

Q. Why did you take Braddock this time? You went on the Dr Phil Show with The Don…

A. Any of the eight lead Love Systems instructors could have handled it, but it was really time to unleash Braddock. Everyone is talking about him as the next big thing with all of his breakthroughs in the pickup artist / dating coaching world. His teaching gets amazing reviews.

I’ve noticed that all of the big names in dating have a signature event. Cajun has Keys to the VIP. The Don has Dr Phil. Soul has his pickup video (and a bunch more in the Love Systems Pickup Video Channel. Fivepointzero has a TV show of him actually training rock stars on Love Systems. And so on.

So Tyra Banks was a great fit, and a good opportunity to put Braddock to the test. After Friday, he won’t be much of a secret any more.

Q. Some people say that by explaining Love Systems to a mostly-female TV audience lessens the power of the secret techniques you teach. How would you respond?

A. That’s old-school thinking. Sure, if you peacock like it’s a dress code and you use the same five routines over and over and then women see that, they won’t be interested. I don’t think most people can get good results today from dressing and acting like the VH-1 show, even though I was consultant on the first season. Before it aired, you could. Game is different now.

Techniques like the Love Systems Triad (LST) are so effective in part because a woman can know exactly what you’re doing and it will still work. No woman in the world is going to say “you have great body language; this must be a trick” or “you have great social intelligence and know exactly how to convey your good qualities without bragging – I don’t want anything to do with you”. Sure there’s a lot of secret sauce that goes into Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) bootcamps, but you’ll notice none of that hits the air.

Just last week actually a woman journalist came to one of The Don’s bootcamps (source). Not only did she agree with a lot of Love Systems, but she also admitted that “I have to admit that a lot of the routines, as delivered by the experienced instructors, would totally have worked on me in a bar”

Does It Ever Fizzle Out After A Great Pickup?

I’m Nick Savoy, and I run Love Systems (formerly Mystery Method Corp) and if you feel a solid “pickup” slipping away, keep these three rules handy.

SECRET #1: Bait, don’t chase

When a woman seems to be slipping away, most guys (at least most guys who don’t know Love Systems) will chase her harder. She didn’t answer the last text? Call her! Phone calls are short? Ask her out!

It’s logical, but counter-productive.

You want her to invest her time and emotional energy in you. But once you’ve asked her a couple of times, continuing to push the same offer on her will make her want it (and you) LESS.

It’s the same with any kind of investment. Let’s say your friend Joe wants you to invest in his new business. You keep dodging the question but Joe keeps asking or hinting at it. The more he does this, the more SURE you are that you don’t want to invest. And after a while, you stop answering Joe’s calls because you smell his agenda a mile away.

A BETTER WAY

What if Joe recognized that you didn’t want to invest. Instead of pressuring you, he backed off, talked about other things, and only casually once in a while referred to his business but without asking you for anything. It sounds like it’s doing well, and one day he invites you to drop by and visit.

Well, you can do that can’t you? And if you liked what you saw, what’s going to happen next? You’ll probably ask HIM if he’s interested in more investors. Just like a beautiful woman will often start hinting at date opportunities and places to meet up when you’ve got some emotional momentum going.

The first key is to LOWER THE INVESTMENT LEVEL YOU ARE ASKING OF HER. There are many ways to do this, depending on the situation, but here are some of the big ones:

Texts instead of phone calls
Light, fun conversation instead of serious topics
Conversation for the sake of it alone instead of making plans
Shorter rather than longer phone calls (and text messages)
In summary – take a step back, make sure she’s with you, and then start going forward and building momentum again… together.

SECRET #2: Be in the moment

Tell me if this story sounds familiar. You met a woman you’re interested in. She is all over you, insists you take her number, promises to make you dinner this weekend and implies that she might be the desert…

… but it’s not that same girl when (if?) you get her on the phone. She’s actually busy this weekend and doesn’t suggest another date.

Well, that’s not fair, is it?

Darn right it isn’t. Before I learned Love Systems and changed my life around, this used to get me so frustrated. Sometimes I’d even call the girl and ask what the heck happened. (There’s no point doing that either.)

To explain what’s going on and what to do, I’m going to take you on a little detour.

I love playing board games. It’s a very nerdy hobby – I’m not talking about games people know, like Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly. I’m talking about games no one has heard of – detailed games re-fighting ancient wars, and so on.

(Obviously, this isn’t something most women can relate to. But, it’s my hobby and I’m passionate about it. Since women are attracted by emotion, not logic (you should know this), the average swimsuit model will genuinely prefer to hear me passionately talk about board games and why I love them more than Mr. Generic boring her droning on about his cars and money. Like Love Systems expert Mr. M wrote recently that she feels what you feel. I’ll take passionate over bored any day.)

Anyway… there’s one game I used to play a lot called Diplomacy. It’s a game of negotiation, betrayal, and intrigue, with a bit of military strategy thrown in. I used to be fairly good, but not great. At tournaments, I’d often get to the “final table” (the top seven players, since it’s a seven-player game) and just as often be one of the first players eliminated.

Almost ten years ago, at the World Boardgaming Championships (yes, it does exist), I deliberately got a previous year’s champion drunk so he’d tell me my flaw. See, one of the lessons I learned in school from a Goldman Sachs guest lecturer was “Alcohol Works.” I stick with good advice wherever I find it.

My flaw? Not strategy. Not tactics. Not negotiation.

Optimistic self-delusion.

He told me he could pull the wool over my eyes by figuring out what it was that I wanted to believe, and then use that against me while he prepared to stab me in the back. If I was playing France and I really wanted to believe that my English ally wasn’t about to attack me, then I’d believe just about any explanation the English player would give me… Before he stuck the knife in.

“Play the board as it is, not how you want it to be.”

Board games are silly, but the lesson isn’t. It’s funny how many times I’ve repeated that exact phrase without anyone asking where or what this “board” was about. But the meaning is clear, and very applicable to Love Systems.

The woman you want was all over you last night? That was last turn. Board’s changed.

A woman is in your neighborhood and wants to come over tonight after being standoffish for weeks? Board’s changed. Tomorrow she might not want to. You’ll get nowhere by saying “but last night you wanted to,” at least no further than I’d get in a Diplomacy game saying “but last turn you didn’t have an army next to Paris.”

SECRET #3: Know Your Moves

The great thing about Love Systems being “bottom up” – we start by figuring out what works and only THEN put theories and structure on top of it – is that literally every part of attracting beautiful women can be made easier.

So, even with something as specific as how to get a girl who has drifted way back in the orbit, there’s a body of Love Systems knowledge. There are even a bunch of specific texts and things to say on the phone in the Phone and Text Game chapter of the Love Systems Routines Manual.

But I’ll give you a classic one, right now, with my compliments:

“I just met your twin.”

This works whether you haven’t talked in months or whether you just want to spark some energy. It doesn’t require major investment on her part. It implies that you are meeting other women and if some of them are similar to her and responding to you, maybe she should make her move now before you get away.

This is something impossible to say directly and difficult to convey… which makes this such a powerful text.

It’s a strange phenomenon, but women are more interested in you if they know that other women are interested in you too. We call this “Pre-selection” and it is one of the eight basic ways to attract beautiful women. Love Systems Vs Real Social Dynamics Bootcamp

Have you considered taking a boot camp? The major players are probably Love Systems, PUATraining and Real Social Dynamics. This comparative review was posted over at the Love Systems forum which may be very valuable for those considering taking one. This user post was in regards to Braddock’s bootcamp in Washington, April 2009.

My story:

About two years ago, late on a Friday night alone at home (which was a common theme for me) I was flipping through channels bored as hell. It just so happened, as I was scrolling through my channel guide, I saw a show called “The Pick-Up Artist” on VH1. Too lazy to hop on the computer for porn, I guess I was hoping there would be some hot chick I’d spank it to. By now, I’m sure everyone in the community has heard of the show that blew the secret off the “secret” society. Well I didn’t end up jerking off to it (was scared jerking off to the cross dressing Mystery would make me gay), but it fucking flipped my world inside out and upside down. After watching the show, of course, like every other AFC that saw the show, I had to try this shit out.

The following week, I end up going out to a club in Baltimore with some of my nerd friends (I love em, but damn they can be lame). So I pick a line off the show (dental floss) and was going to bust it out and fucking close a chick for the first time in god knows how long. By the way, I didn’t tell any of my friends about the show and was just going to impress them with all the hot chicks I landed. So heading into the club with rap music fucking blaring through the speakers, packed with people shoulder to shoulder, strobe lights going on and off all over the place, the place is loaded with women. After about 30 minutes of staring at different women, I pick the girl (an 8). She’s the blonde standing over by the bar in a hot little black dress with red heels looking like she ready for me to come over there grab her, take her into the bathroom and give her the fucking she was waiting for. At that very moment, my heart starts beating out of my chest, I start sweating like I’m a fucking 400lb guy walking up 10 flights of stairs, and I become very aware of beer my friend spilled on me 10 minutes earlier that makes me look like I pissed myself . So I walk up next to her, about to say the line, and she looks over at me and I freeze (like a sweaty deer in headlights). We make eye contact for about 3 seconds and I turn to the bartender, order my normal jack and coke, and walk a way like the chode I was. And stand against the wall with the rest of my companions.

What the fuck just happened??? Needless to say, I don’t think that set went very well. So what did I need to do to improve, I knew the answer… Tivo the rest of the season of the Pick-Up Artist. That worked about as well as me a Turtle getting laid without Vince Chase.

Over the next few months, I spend hours everyday researching shit online, reading the Game by Style, and numerous books that are listed on forums and in the book. But I never get over approach anxiety and could never find the right words to say. Once in a blue moon, under the right circumstances (not too loud, the right song, an “approachable” set, with a perfect canned line for the situation) I open a set, but cannot nail any sort of real hook.

What is going on, what can I do to get over this shit and get that grade “A” pussy I’m looking for (you know the kind that taste like ice cream, not the shitty off brand stuff, but the Häagen-Dazs of pussy).

I finally decide to put some really value behind all of the teachings I had learned, I need in the field experience. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME. And for me to actually do that, I need some pushing me to open. In February of 08, I signed up for the San Francisco boot camp with RSD. This is going to the life altering training I need to break out of my chodeness, and release the inner alpha male.

Real Social Dynamics:

We are to meet at 7pm in a hotel lobby. I end up realizing who the other 2 students are, just by them having the same blank and nervous stare I had. My thoughts are racing and I’m scared shitless, but hey, 3 students to 1 instructor! This was going to be an awesome ratio, so much personal attention. The instructor shows up 7:25 (I was stressed, I was staring at my phone every 30 seconds, the only confidence I had to keep me in check was knowing I was in the right hotel cause the other two students were there.)

Finally, the PUA shows up, we begin to have our pick-up information given to us in the busy hotel lobby. He tells us to throw away everything we had learned as it was all shit. Canned lines never work; you have to become a natural now to be success with women, due to the book and the show fucking up the canned approaches. That totally makes sense, I get that. So what do I do? Be unreactive, assert dominance, give value, have core confidence. Ok great, how do I do that? The answer I received was defining what they were not demonstrating or giving examples so I couldn’t apply it to any actions or words. But fuck it, I’m going to try and do whatever I think it means. He’s the PUA, he gets paid for this, he knows what he talking about, right?

So before we head out, we get the rules. One of the first rules was that we could not ask the instructor to open a set. And which we never got to seem him do. He used having a girlfriend as an excuse. Another was “No game talk in the field” With that out of the way, we head to a nice upscale lounge and the night begins. He tells me to walk up to every set I see. I go, and immediately get blown out of the first set I approached, I return and ask what I did wrong and he replies “No game talk” and pushes towards another set. After 4 more blow outs, the night just began to grow dimmer and dimmer for me. Eventually, it just felt like my instructor gave up on me, when I said “I have no fucking idea what to say”. His response was, “it doesn’t matter”. My problem with that answer was, if I could successfully talk to women, would I have this dreaded approach anxiety? The night ends, all three of us with an unsuccessful night.

We meet up in the afternoon the next day. And after spending 2 hours waiting on the third student (apparently the instructor didn’t have his number) we realize he jumped ship. 2-1 ratio now. By this point, regardless of the ratio, I was not feeling very confident. Game talk begins again. This time, he goes over a few more cores of pick-up, of course, neither of us had been successful with the previous night so it was about logical as yelling at a dog for burning the toast your grandmother cooked in the oven a week ago.

After we broke to rest and prepare for the night, I said to myself, “Do whatever it takes to open.” So I pump myself up in my hotel, get to the bar, and my good friend, “AA”, hits me again. The first night, I didn’t drink because I wanted to focus on my game. Not tonight…I start off by pounding 3 shots, by the end of the night, and about $100 worth of drinks later, I had open tons of sets. I have no idea if they were successful, what I said, what I did, or where I lost my phone, but I opened sets. So I figured out what I needed to do to open sets, just get plastered and make a complete drunken ass out of myself.

The next day, hung-over and without a phone, we meet and spend 4 hours in a restaurant talking about day-2’s and phone game. This had an actual structure and was what I was looking for the entire boot camp. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t open successfully, which is needed to a date or get a number.

Once I finally went home, which is in Baltimore (yes, I flew from MD to San Fran for the boot camp) I just decided, pick up is not for me and I will just have to look for “4” to settle for. (Which sucks cause I can hardly get my dick hard for a 4) For the next year, I just dropped everything from the game and went back to my lonely life scrolling the TV for hot chicks on Friday nights, too lazy to walk over to my PC to find something to spank it to.

Love Systems:

A year passes…

Of course, when I was heavy into the forums, I signed up for every mailing list possible on pick-up (I receive like 5 a day from different sites, like I’m sure most of you reading this do). I never look at them but something caught my eye, a boot camp coming to DC. Took a look at it, and just out of curiosity replied to get a few more details about it. Well, I got a call from one of the sales guys and decided, fuck it; I’ll give it a try.

This time, I was not expecting my life to be altered; in fact, I expected it to be a load of bullshit. The sales guy was saying it was going to be led by a guy named Braddock, according to the sales guy, “Probably the best PUA out right now” which I also assumed to be a load of shit and was just trying to sell me.

I head to the conference room (a little bit early) where the class portion will be, yes, there are actually three full classes of teaching pick-up. This is what I was looking for a year ago. So I became a little excited, but then I walk into the room where 18 chairs are set up, I’m the first person in the room. Oh shit, one instructor for 18 people, this is going to be hell, well it ends up only 8 students, but 2 instructors and 2 assistants. I liked the break down quite a bit.

The first day, Braddock and Big Business break down opening and transitioning, and throw in a few extra pointers to help us. It was a 5 hour class, with loads of good information. It seemed a little overwhelming, but it was the same information I had actually wished for and was seeking in the RSD boot camp. Braddock gave us some openers and routines, but said not to rely on them (salt & pepper). Before we broke, we were given our mission for the night, focus on opening and transitioning, don’t worry about getting blown out, and hit a lot of sets: don’t get stuck. It was magic…an objective that didn’t rely on outcome and focused on process.

That night everyone of us blew it up. I got blown out of the first few sets, but the instructors pointed out what I did wrong (body language, tonality, smiling). The openers they gave me provided me with enough confidence to approach. If I ever felt like I wasn’t sure what to do next, Calabrese just pointed at a set and said go. By the end of the night, I wasn’t even using canned openers because it just turned into a night of having fun. I approached at least 25 sets that night and hooked quite a few.

The next day Braddock, Big Biz, Calabrese, and Feet Sauce broke down our success and areas of opportunity. The layer process of learning continued, next we focused on disqualification, attraction, and kino. And at the end of class, another mission: play specific games we were taught, get numbers and closes.

Another successful night in the record book for me on night 2. Day three, another evaluation of the previous night and onto qualification, comfort, and the “birds and the bees” (a little differently than my dad taught me, but I would have fucking loved this version from him.)

By the end of the class, my outlook on pick up has done another 180 degrees and I respect it now and actually am not afraid to open sets. Yes, I still have work to do, but I actually am able to begin that work after I moved off of my sticking point. And I know what to do if I hit another sticking point.

Break Down:

RSD was about half the price of Love Systems. It seemed like a great idea at the time, because it was cheaper, but I ended up losing a year’s worth of pussy by taking the cheap way.

RSD has an extreme approach to the “natural” which can be great, but if you struggle with finding what to say it is not the way to go.

Love Systems broke information down and explained why stuff worked, how it worked, demonstrated it to us, and gave us feedback on what we were doing. There is a real process of learning involved.

If you do not have the money for a Love Systems class, and struggle with Approach Anxiety, do not bother taking any other course. Just save money until you can afford it.

By having more than 1 instructor, Love Systems could keep the class on course and could follow multiple students so one did not end up getting lost.

The energy of the instructors will keep any student going, motivated, and confident.

The best investment in myself I have ever made.
