How To Be A Pickup Artist by Dr. Paul

Okaaay. Well first, are you SURE you want to call it that? “Pickup Artists” to women and accomplished men sounds like you are trying to trick women, going for sex and nothing else. And in a way, is a needy title to aspire to.

In my profession as a psychiatrist, my first rule is, “Do no harm”. And not only is it harmful to potentially use women, but also harmful to yourself to go for sex rather than quality interaction, and friendship with women, sex or not.

We can learn to ATTRACT women properly instead. I try to stay away from the phrases “Pickup” or “Seduction” for the reason that they imply trickery, neediness, and manipulation rather than recognizing the mature, confident boundaries of a real man led to not only sexual attraction, but quality social opportunity and connections to women in general.

This being said, it IS true that the very first KIND of attraction you will have to master in any lasting connection to a woman romantically will indeed be sexual attraction. Instead of being a “pickup artist,” why not be a gentleman with an edge?

Sexual attraction comes first? I thought I just told you that “going only for the sex is bad?”

I did.

The key word is “only,” not to the EXCLUSION of.

Women not only thrill on the passion of sex, but instinctively need it to be PAIRED with both a friendship vibe and the promise of at least the POTENTIAL of commitment.

These take the form sometimes of appreciating a man’s sense of HUMOR, which is a key friendship ability indicator, and that when she senses that you “know how to treat a woman like a lady” – it is not just that you are sophisticated and suave.

It’s that the high character and maturity of behaving in a diplomatic, courteous way implies that you ALSO have the traits which are absolutely necessary to even being capable of someday making a commitment.

A mature, quality woman will not DEMAND instant commitment. She will look for the CAPACITY to have it in you.

Then…

The sexual attraction startup skills. If you thought you wanted to be a “pickup artist,” but soon discover that you want to be an Attraction Master, you will need more than just sexually attractive traits. You will need real humor and the ability to befriend women (for REAL), boundaries, patience, and the character of maturity, and you will need more going on in your life than just a lot of dates and get rich quick schemes as your career plan.

Ultimately, it is MASCULINITY itself which is sexually attractive to women, and in my materials on this, I lay out masculinity as having BOTH the ability to “do the right moves” with women, but also the progress on a career mission that matters to SOCIETY.

Those skills, tactics and moves will need to be flavored with more than just robotic actions. They need friendly emotion, real character, career accomplishment or potential, and respect both for the woman and yourself.

Starting at the start though, there are three things to do when beginning an attraction:

While there are numerous skills, tactics and strategies associated with this very first phase of courtship, the two most crucial that we can blast your skills upward with are threefold:

1. Be MYSTERIOUS – become a source of curiosity for the woman. She needs to be wondering about what makes you tick, why you know the people you know, why you dress that way, why you know those things, and she needs, for now, to utterly not BE ABLE TO LABEL you.

2. Be a source of laughter, humor, or at least reason to smile – early dating and sexual attraction are all “body related,” meaning they are about body language and action. Yet the woman has a need for any romantic action to be paired with happiness, friendliness, and good emotion. Her emotions are her guide, especially when it comes to the nonverbal about romance. Humor, laughter, and smiles are all automatic ways of expressing fun, happiness, and friendship early, midway, and throughout any relationship, date, or courtship.

2. Do TOUCH her – If you are both mysterious and funny, or a source of happiness and friendship for the woman, it is likely you will have gotten signals from her that she likes you and approves of you. The very next step is to initiate TOUCH. If this DOESN’T happen the biological triggers tell her there is something WRONG with the date, with the attraction, with a potential relationship, and ultimately, with YOU.

Men have a hard time getting over their culturally taught fear of touch. But courteous, respectful, diplomatic touching such as a handshake, a high five, or a brush of the shoulder to make a point or emphasize some humor are great entrees to more intimate, and importantly, ACCEPTED, touching.

After all, you will never get to a kiss without first touching, and you will never get to sex without kissing.

This process must begin with you as a source of curiosity and intrigue, lead to fun and humor, and get to the finish via daring to start intimate touch.

I do not want you to suffer the empty life of a mere “pickup artist.” I want you to have the rich life of an real man – a mature, sophisticated gentleman with more going on in his life than just chasing tail.

Dr. Paul MindOS (Deep Inner Game) Chicago Seminar Announced

Dr. Paul, creator of David DeAngelo’s Deep Inner Game program, has announced that he’s holding his MindOS seminar Oct 24-25th in Chicago.

It’s been over 5 years since Deep Inner Game was created, heralded as one of the most comprehensive solutions to inner game problems by many guys in the community. Dr. Paul stated in his email newsletter that for those who have seen Deep Inner Game and previous versions of the program can expect new applications, material and tools to use to breakthrough inner game issues.

New 24 Hour Bootcamp Offered

I have taken the best principles of the Omega Male Program and cultivated the “best practices” out of it all, for an exclusive and grueling LIVE TRAINING – a TRUE “bootcamp.”

I have also determined that given enough background reading on a subject, men generally “get it” as far as how to be successful with women, but when it comes to actually taking reliable, regular ACTION, there can be a chasm between failure and success.

As a result, I took a lesson from my home state’s greatest contests – the “24 Hours of Aspen” team skiing contest, and the “24 Hours of Moab” team mountain biking contest, and imported them into the concept of severe amplification of your “game” or your attractiveness to women.

I also am a big fan of “hot yoga” – a very challenging fitness regimen which also gets you in a mode of measuring yoru progress through repeating just 26 yoga poses each and every time to take a class. In fact, the moves are “patented,” which is what I am doing here…

What I ended up with is “X24 Game.”

You see, learning for men is a team effort. We are evolved to need time alone to solve problems and “plot” our world domination as men, but when it comes time to take action to better our lives, we cannot do without other men on the same mission.

These sports contests in Colorado are among the most enticing, grueling, and fun experiences a man can have on a team, and it was a no-brainer to discover that this model can be imported to jumpstart your social skills too.

We will be meeting in Chicago, June 6th at a very early 7am, and will engage in TWENTY FOUR HOURS of street-learning, street-lectures, and street-practice (as well as in restaurants and clubs) at the art and science of effectiveness with women and dating.

My team and I will give you ONE CRUCIAL LESSON PER HOUR for a 24-hour period – 24 lessons in all, which result in the most important core components of not only dating and attraction, but masculine power itself.

In surgery training the rule was “see one, do one, teach one,” and in a team effort, there will be a great deal of cross-learning among students. You will learn the basics right there in the environments you need to perform at peak level within, but then immediately get a chance to take your learning into action – no 8 hour wait to go out on the town.

You already WILL be.

Rather than dividing it up into different trainings on “Day Game” and “Bars and Clubs” or “Night Game,” I am making this experience as realistic as your real life. There’s no division between the two. You live a life that has certain elements present in you (and in women) whether you are in a coffee shop, the library, or a nightclub.

It’s for the “robust,” and the thrill-seeker, the guy who does have some good training under his belt, some good experiences with women, but simply wants to take things to a much higher level…

Dr. Paul & Joaquin Phoenix

Dr. Paul was recently interviewed by the LA Times about Joaquin Phoenix’s recent appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Dr. Paul stated:

Perhaps it will also clear up the question of whether Phoenix is still an actor at heart or has truly undergone a behavior change. If taken at face value, the actor would appear to be mentally ill, says Chicago-based psychiatrist Paul Dobransky, a relationships expert and author of “The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love.”

Dobransky says Phoenix’s “socially inappropriate” behavior reflects some of the symptoms of schizophrenia, a brain-based disease that causes people to lose touch with reality. Phoenix’s appearance as well as his career change, poor hygiene and grooming, vocal tics (such as muttering) and lack of facial emotion are classic symptoms of mental illness, Dobransky says.

“I was pretty offended by that skit at the Oscars,” Dobransky said today in an interview. “It struck me as potentially beating down on the mentally ill.”

Dobransky said much of Phoenix’s behavior on “Letterman” hinted at mental illness, such as wearing sunglasses, which may suggest paranoia. “There is something wrong. And it’s beyond drug abuse.” The public should refrain from mocking Phoenix, the psychiatrist said, because real mental illness is cause for compassion.

“The jury is not exactly in on what is happening,” Dobransky said. “Whatever it is, it’s not funny –whether it’s drug abuse, mental illness coming on, or the clumsiest attempt ever at a career change.”

The comments were responded to by Joaquin Phoenix’s agent at MTV, Newsday, US Magazine, and ENews!:

“How absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who has no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them,” Sue Patricola said. “And to do so in a public forum. Hope they spelled his name right. Another 15-minute ‘expert’ is born!”

Sue Patricola doesn’t realize that Dr. Paul treats schizophrenia patients at his day dig at a major hospital in Chicago. Dr. Paul teaches them MindOS (the foundation for David Deangelo’s Deep Inner Game product) to deal with boundaries, confidence, and emotional issues as well with prescribed medication. I don’t think Dr. Paul said Phoenix was mentally ill, rather that his behavior was reminiscent of patients who have schizophrenia.

It’s cool that Dr. Paul’s name is getting out there, even if it was misinterpreted.

Is There A War On Love?

I just read an article by Dr Paul that he wrote for Psychology Today called “Are Women Dying In The War On Love?“. Dr Paul discusses what he see’s as an evolving “war on love” and how there are now fatalities… of single, middle-aged women.

Dr Paul goes on to say that this War On Love is really not between the sexes, but against ignorance. The lack of understanding on what attracts and keeps men and women together is what’s causing a skew towards career and self-pursuits thus resulting in suicide and depression in single, middle-aged women.

I’d be interested to know of the relationships between this war on love and men that can’t attract women. Perhaps we see it all to often on the news in the form of rape, violence, and suicides caused-by/of men. That’s why learning how to attract women really gets down to a big motivator to live life the best we can. It’s all about survival and replication as core reasons to do things in our lives.

It’s a very interesting thought, and makes you really grateful that we have options now. Seduction and pick up is only one part of our lives, but it seems all the more important when it effects how we feel about the rest of it, huh?

Tali (Doctor Paul Coach) Uses “Hat Game” In London (Video)

I liked this video of Tali, a Doctor Paul coach, using his hat in a different way. Instead of sitting down he uses his hat as a lock in prop on the dance floor. Kinda cool.

This is what infield videos should be like. Not this.

I noticed Tali had a bit of approach anxiety before. I think this separates many guys from succeeding. Do you ever get rid of approach anxiety? Perhaps not. I know mine hasn’t gone away. Can you control it and press forward? Yes, and it’s that courage is that builds your confidence exponentially.

Tali said this about it:

Yeah…having a camera on you increases AA by 100%…but, I said to myself, “I’m Coach Tali, I own this dance floor son!!!” I ended up k-closing both HBs.

Doctor Paul Launches New Site

One of my favorite dating gurus and MD’s, Doctor Paul, has relaunched his website, with new products and videos.

The reason I love Doctor Paul’s stuff is because he’s had clinical experience and comes from a professional medical background in psychiatry. Doctor Paul doesn’t spew “self-help” on his products, he tells fact and theories based on centuries of research. I’ve read his mindOS ebook and it’s simply Deep Inner Game in an ebook and for about 70% less. I’ve also read his KWML ebook which is a personality cold reading system which is brilliant and really helps you understand why people act the way they do based on their unique personality.

For those of you who don’t know Doctor Paul’s work, he was the mastermind behind the David Deangelo program called “Deep Inner Game” which has great reviews.

I’ll be doing an interview again with Doctor Paul but in the mean time browse his new website.

Doctor Paul Is Releasing A New System?

Doctor Paul, the creator of the Deep Inner Game with David Deangelo and a REAL APA CERTIFIED DOCTOR, has come up with a new system that he is releasing shortly for men. I hear through a few different guys in the community that this system will simplify pickup and dating into a series of easy to learn “sexual symbols” that addresses which tactics, techniques and methods to use at any given time during an interaction. I think it would be based on his current work based on his theories as a Doctor, but this system goes one step further past theory into practical techniques. I don’t know much more about it, but I’ve been waiting for a simple method for using Doctor Paul’s stuff infield.

I emailed Doctor Paul for a comment and all he said was… literally…

“I wish I could tell you more, but I can’t. There’s a few legal issues with the costly patents to sort out to make sure they’re iron clad. My wish is that guys in the community will recognize my work and not go to another “guru” for advice which they bootlegged from my material and “made” their own. Guys deserve to get it from the unfiltered source. I’ve learned my lesson. =) I’ll be releasing a video very soon in which I’ll be seeking specific questions that guys want answered and solved in REAL PSYCHOLOGICAL and REAL WORLD tactics. Feel free to put that video up when it comes. Gotta run, Paul”

Dammit. I wish I could’ve gotten more about ACTUAL system. Keep an eye out of this “Sexual Symbols” stuff. Oh, and there’s an advanced notification list you all should get on. I assume its to send you the video and the stuff when it comes out:

I sat down with Doctor Paul to talk about his upcoming book, “The Secret Psychology of How We Fall In Love”.

What’s this new book I’m hearing about? How does it compare to say “Deep Inner Game” and other products you’ve released?

Its called “The Secret Psychology of How We Fall In Love”. On the surface its a book for women, but secretly it’s all of the science I’ve learned, all of the techniques of the community, and all I’ve seen happen there but with a scientific mind. I got the idea to assist women to get a better dating life and relationships, but also to assist men. You’ve heard of the word feminist, I’m neither a feminist, or a masculinist but a humanist, I believe in getting people together and teaching them to make that happen is the best way.

What’s “The Secret Psychology of How We Fall In Love” all about?

Alot of guys have said, “When The Game comes out, women will be on to us, they’ll know our system and work us out!” It’s ridiculous, women want me, a quality man, and men want quality women. There doesn’t need to be any war between the sexes. It’s my latest and greatest technology and its worlds beyond MindOs (Dr Paul’s ebook release), and it teaches us what amounts to courtship. Something that we’ve lost. It’s not a detailed description on how to court, not just physical moves, but psychologically what exact steps are there.

Some people might call it Mystery Method for women, but what it amounts to is e = mc2 for psychology, everyone’s heard of it for physics, this is the very same thing in the psychology world, it’s very ground breaking. Think of it this way, it’s the periodic table of the elements for psychology.

What every dating guru has is a molecule, but i have the elements now. I can explain what works, and what doesn’t, thats because i have the elements and not just the molecules. There is a underlying pattern of what works with gurus and what does not. The community and the idea of helping men meet women is a very new idea, and you have little phases in the last century, but very small.

My field is very old, and i think all the best has synthesized and blended, both in the book and live seminars, and other materials are a true combination of all that came before me, and synthesis of bringing together various models of teaching men how to meet women to create one model out of all of them, to express them all. This does the same thing with any method of game. I want men to devise their own “method”. You don’t need to follow any particular guru to get success, and you can make your own and be wildly successful if you know the fundamentals behind the models, and why they work for some people.

“I want men to devise their own “method”.

Essentially some of the cases examples in the book are going to describe women who are trying to make there way towards a solid relationship while failing and it illustrates what problems women have, and what traits to stay away from, by having a man’s perspective on it. Alot of guys are going to read it, and say “oh! chapter 6 is my ex girlfirend”, or “chapter 9 is my ex-wife”. So it makes it very very clear why certain dating experiences cause failure, this book explains why, and it isn’t vague.

If you devise your own method or game, why would you need anyone to find out about “your game”, I don’t want guys to have to worry about it. Devise your own and it works perfectly for you.

“The Secret Psychology of How We Fall In Love” helps the guy work on his character and his sexual skills. One thing I found helped when I worked with David Deangelo is sexual attraction, so I’ve added sexual attraction to the model.
