Reading has about 200k people. I went out in Swindon, you get so many IOIs becasuse there is a set number of people who go out out all the time, and being someone new you are the centre of attention. But to live there its terrible. In the UK, London is the the place to go, also I would stick with Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow, maybe Edinburgh. Bouirnemouth is good because its holiday town, perhaps York or Brighton too. People talk about Nottingham having a good ratio (3:1), you will find it evens out, it had that ratio there 20 years ago, not now. Also you have Loughborough Uni next door which is 1:3 so it evens out.
