Nice post. But I disagree.

Earlier and more common self help books are much more general (in my opinion) that the RSD stuff.
The RSD videos like this give not only an insight into the specific isntructors methods (to potentially model your own) but reframe the ideas, as not everyone has the same learning style. Basically, it is just a different way of doing things (e.g. Tim’s natural method aims at turning someone into a natural modelling his naturally attractive behaviours).
If you watched the blueprint decoded you’d see how Tyler gives a lot of really solid advice and uses references throughout where he has not discovered things himself. It is not just general ideas, but Tyler gives examples in his own life and explains the applicability in really practical terms. I’ve read a lot of self help material, and blueprint decoded is a synthesis of so much other stuff.
One cannot cite what one has discovered oneself.

They also stole from Gunwitch and even Ross Jeffries. Same techniques, but they go under the radar by renaming all the stuff. There is nothing new in what they teach.

Thegambit January 11, 2009 at 11:37 pm

Over the years there has been a consistent attack on RSD and what they teach.

Basically I don’t care whether it’s self help when the information they provide actually makes me better with woman. With that said I have come across allot of guys who have stated the RSD products and bootcamps has increased their game tremendously.

I find there are general thought-lines throughout the community when it comes to gaming woman and this imply that information will be repeated from time to time by other guru’s etc. The science of seduction has come to a point where the basic structure (the fundamentals) has been laid down concretely.

In order to be good with woman you need to know the fundamentals, and if you are like me you do not care where the information started or where the claim lies for it, ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHETHER IT IMPROVES MY GAME!! And it’s obvious that allot of the inner-game material rely on self-help material.

In the end if a product improves my inner-game using self-help material then it’s okay… BUT IT HAS TO IMPROVE MY GAME!!

Finally, if these guru’s really want to help woman they wouldn’t care whether the information is being repeated through other products. The Art of Approaching essentially rely on the tactics from the Mystery Method. Does that make the product bad? Hell no!!! If it helps my game I’ll buy it!

Now, I know allot of people feel that their should be given acknowledgment when using certain material. But I find the community has become too damn political! It has moved from helping men to product revenue.

Let’s not get all US versus THEM!!!! We are all men who wants to improve others lives by giving them the chance they deserve with the women the deserve. We have all come together through one goal!

Let’s not lose focus from that!

Monstar January 12, 2009 at 4:28 am

“However, to each their own. It’s your own money you guys should spend it with however you feel is appropriate for your life.”

Dude are you really going to try and ‘reverse psychology’ us like that? Really? Don’t you think it’s a bit transparent and an insult to the intelligence of your readers.

“Make the best decision you can, and I’ll try to help out with what I know.”

This would be a lot more sincere if you weren’t so incredibly bias. I don’t care if you like RSD or not just say “I don’t like RSD” period. Don’t pretend to be looking out for the best interest of the defenseless masses.

Paul January 12, 2009 at 10:58 am

LOL @ Roger:)

Donovan, RSD is as full of shit as is Dr.Paul, Janka or Savoy btw.
ALL of those are clowns.

Johnny January 12, 2009 at 12:12 pm

RSD is a clown show

The whole pick up community is a scam

Karim January 12, 2009 at 7:34 pm

I think most guys are paying money to help learn how to quickly and easily learn how to pick up chicks. WHo gives a damn about references and credits, if you or anyone else thinks they’ve copied material off someone else, fine, take the legal route.

David Deanglo’s fanbase must be the biggest KJ losers in the whole seduction community, and I doubt davids material ever got anyone laid.

Donovan January 13, 2009 at 12:07 am

@thegambit: Good point.

@paul: I don’t care, those were the guys experiences. I can’t chop the end of the video off.

@karim: Did for me and lots of other guys I get emails from. Everyone? No.

@Monstar: 1. That isn’t reverse psychology. 2. I am bias. I dislike RSDs tactics and have said SINCE I found out. I didn’t bash RSD for years until I received countless emails from guys about it. 3. I can do what ever I want on my blog. If you don’t like it, read elsewhere. Be my guest!

Intime January 13, 2009 at 9:30 am

erm i dun get it

so is tim supposed to say. ” ok guys i am now going to talk about woo, which is similar to a state talked about in 19XX by richard bandler,1745 by kinto spike, 1989 by ross jeffries, 2002 by david deangelo”

to be honest. in that program, its not like he even credits Tyler with anything. And no one is complaining about it. like seriously he doesnt even use terms that RSD pple are familiar with like nimbus and such.

Maybe some pple would be happier if he said. “Ok this one. tyler taught me. this one, jeffy taught me, this one, geoff taught me, this one, ozzie taught me, this one, papa taught me”

so he just teaches with no references, and some pple will be unhappy. SO BOO HOO

Intime January 13, 2009 at 9:36 am

if he has to reference then he should reference everything, or else what should he reference and what shouldnt he?

Woo Woo January 14, 2009 at 5:05 pm

Is “WOO” really worth referencing?

RSD is a cult. Cults have true believers. There are lots of people who genuinely think RSD helped them, just like every cult has its defenders. Maybe RSD has helped some people, after all the placebo effect is real…

Water January 15, 2009 at 3:20 am

You say that RSD stole materials.

- Those are big words for a small man. What I see is a man who criticizes something that he does not understand.

How do you know that they stole materials ?

Even if they had the same materials as the other pickup gurus it doesn’t necessary mean that they stole them. They might just reinvented them (not the case here, rsd products are unique)

-> at least this is my perspective.

gigi January 15, 2009 at 7:44 am

> Basically I don’t care . . .when the information they provide actually makes me better with woman

I tend to think so too.

RSD guys deserve 10 times the bashing that they’re getting, they are a very, very, shady bunch.

However their material is quite healthy, especially for the shy introvert over analytical person, which is the general prototype of those who seek dating advice I believe.

That’s why I tend not to actively bash them – because I think their material can be helpful, even if it comes from a shady source..

:)

Woo Woo January 15, 2009 at 9:07 pm

So RSD actually *stole* “WOO!!!!”?

As in, someone from RSD saw another guy making a total ass of himself and was like – fuck, we need to rip this shit off and pretend we thought it up?

That I can’t believe.

Je January 16, 2009 at 11:42 pm

i agree about the David D. student’s (most anyway) don’t get laid. i’m a fan ~ and do btw ~ but i was already pretty good b4 him. my point is the dudes at his seminars seem to be total luzrs/geeks, but most of all ~ they don’t have that DRIVE to be good. But if you’re already cool etc… it helps, LOTS!!!!

daniel January 16, 2009 at 11:50 pm

Why at the end does he say Savoy as one of the guys who have something to “back it up” by back it up did you mean “steal it from mystery?”

Hammer January 18, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Donovan, what’s up with all of the RSD fanboys commenting on your blog? God knows how many others are emailing you. My condolences.

pauls January 23, 2009 at 9:40 am

i love seeing ppl that dont believe in david d’s material.

ha sucks for you guys.

i read his book about 4 times in a one month span and 10x more action and had girls buying me shit

but i hope you dont look at david d’s material, we dont need more guys that can get girls…..have fun touching yourself at night.

Lovechild February 4, 2009 at 2:14 am

Woowoo Said:

I guess you better read this:

Man I can’t believe i got in to that shit! I know some of you guys are drinking a lot of “Haterade!” but i think, you guys might be right! I can’t believe i fall on that self-help Bullshit!

So much for all that nonsense…like WOO! hehehe!

I saw the entire Flawless Natural DVDs yesterday in one session (got it from a torrent) and there are some useful hints in there, that I won’t deny. But 90% of what Tim talks about I have already read on free pickup forums, the other 10% I haven’t found there yet. In total, if I was a newbie to pickup, Flawless Natural would have been a pretty bad starting point because most of it is just a lot of hot air. Seriously, I could summarise what Tim stretches out for 5 solid hours in a short list with maybe 20 bullet points.

For $270 that product is WAY overpriced. I pity the fool who pay this price.

Blahhh rOrO April 13, 2009 at 8:50 pm

hahahahaha lmfao to the haters… whats wrong with you dudes.. just spread that love and bang these girls…frikin internet jockies stay suckin Rsd. you dudes hate your life so you bash on dudes who have awesome ones so you can feel good about yourself

Danielle April 15, 2009 at 11:11 am

The product is great. My game improved TONS from it & is the best “method” I’ve used. Its basically 3or4 other unnamed natural methods with his cool spin and originality. Since when Haas being cool not got a guy laid? Cuz that’s what RSD teaches. No wonder nerd KJS have to diss them.

Nephilim May 30, 2009 at 7:50 am

Look, there’s a lot that I don’t like about RSD, but let’s be honest. All I know is that I wasn’t getting any girls before I immersed in RSD, Juggler, and DYD. Then over about 9 months of just doing what the seminars told me, trusting in a foreign set of bearings, I began to get the success.

Overpriced, yeah, but RSD was like college. College teaches you the shit you need – and don’t need – for a job to make money. RSD teaches you a lot of shit you don’t need, but some stuff that really can help you get on the track to insane success with women – and people in general. And like college, it’s overhyped and priced.

Adam Elite June 7, 2009 at 9:10 am

Come on guys, “The Game” came out in 2005 which was more than four years ago (doesn’t time fly?).

There are far better MPUAs out there worth discussing.

If it weren’t for Neil Strauss opening that can of worms no-one would be discussing………….who are we discussing again?

Yes I torrented The Blueprint (and deleted it immediately). I wouldn’t keep anything that makes Tom Cruise’s Scientology Medal of Valour Youtube speech look normal.
