What Do You Believe In? By David Wygant

by David Wygant on November 7, 2008

What do you believe in? What do you stand for? How do you define yourself as a person in this world?

Do you want to be defined as a pickup artist or as a man that attracts women?

What are your beliefs? What are you willing to do, and how much are you willing to take?

Who do you respect? Who do you honor? Do you honor yourself? Do you honor who you are as a person?

Do you have beliefs that are so strong that you’ll stand up for yourself no matter what? Or are you a pushover in every way – you’re just taking the scraps of life as they come to you?

Man, this sounds like a harsh blog – but it really isn’t!

I want you all to step up for yourself today and I want you to write down what you believe in.

I want you to write it on the blog right now. Start it off with this: “David, my name is _____, and I believe in…” Tell me what you believe in.

I’ve spent the last year writing blogs for you guys, and you know what I believe in. You know what I stand for: I stand for truth, justice, and the American way. Am I Superman, or what?
This is not about what I stand for, this is all about what you stand for and how far are you willing to go to be the man that you want!

But what do you believe in? What are you going to stand up for? How do you want your life to be?

I want to hear from you guys today. I want to hear what you are all about.

You write me a blog today. Write me a long post and tell me what you believe in. Tell me what you’re fighting for. Tell me exactly how you want your life to be six months from now – and what you’re doing every single day to make that happen.

I challenge you to stand up for yourself today on this blog. Only the gutsiest people are actually going to stand up. Most of you are just going to read it, think about it, and wait for the perfect thing to write.

But there is no perfect thing to write.

I just want to hear what you believe in; I want to hear what you stand for, and I want to get to know you even deeper.

My name is Makelo. I believe in self improvement, owning up to your responsibilities and living the best life possible. Each day I read inspiring blogs like Craig Harper, TSG Magazine and other blogs to elevate as an individual. I know it’s an ongoing process. Being strong within is the key to being strong externally.

I’m Duke, and I believe that we control the direction our life takes. I believe that every interaction we have leaves us changed, and that I can direct that change for the better. I believe there is absolute evil in the world and that it thrives only because the good parts of us do nothing about it. I believe that we as individuals are utterly insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe, but that even our minor actions ripple further than we will ever know. I have many causes, but right now, I’m fighting for the mental health of women. I believe that sexual assault is one of the most psychologically damaging things that can happen to someone. I believe that with adequate preparation, both mentally and physically, I can teach people to lessen the risk and improve the end-results. As a self-defense instructor, I’m doing my part to lessen the effect of absolute evil in our world, and to make a positive change in the lives of the women around me. Each iteration takes me to the next level, and by this time next year, I will have trained over 100 people to be aware, confident, and to do what it takes to reduce their risk of becoming victims. Every day I cultivate myself as a speaker, a teacher, and a communicator, trying to make the information I teach concise, memorable and available.

David,my name is Elvis, I am a student.I believe in myself- my capabilities, both latent and active; I believe that this life is whatever you make of it; I believe that other people respond based on my actions, so I don’t need to be so obsessed about what other people think of me. Six months from now, I picture myself living according to my capabilities, possessing mental and emotional balance.I picture myself becoming a man capable of attracting women from within himself.ie.no memorized routines or stacks.I picture myself being socially adept and understanding, totally, social caliberation. It’s never easy to totally transform your lifestyle, but nothing in life really is; and so I try daily to put myself in the frame of mind to achieve my goals- discarding negative beliefs and reprogramming my mind with the positive ones. I make strides not only to read but to put to practice in my daily sphere of existence.

Nice post David–a lot of people out there need a good kick in the butt to really do some much needed self-reflection. As for myself, I have a lot of beliefs, including the one I personally blog about: that love is chaotic, and full of idiotic participants. And that when you look at it in hindsight, it’s amazing that men and women ever end up successfully together at all. Oh, and that it is always definitely easier said than done.

We will see the situation, apply our skills accordenly and get the results we require.
