I'm a BIG fan of storytelling too, so I liked this one David. Even before I started in the game I was good at it, and here are some of the things that I personally noticed:
- Sensory details. Liked David said, if you just tell a short story with no details? People will HEAR it. But if you want them to LIVE it, you need to make them FEEL like they're there: what did the place look like? Was it small/big/high/pitoresc/gothic/roman architecture, which color, out of the ordinary details like strange objects, worn down objects etc. And that's just SIGHT man. How did it smell, how did the weather feel, what did you hear, what did you see other people do and how, in what manner was the sound made and blabla. You don't have to go and tell 3 million details before you make your point...but just pick up a sleezy, cheap lovers' romance that women always read and you'll know what I mean.
- Feelings. As in emotions: people around you were happy/sad/angry/disappointed, YOU felt alive/free/excited/anxious/scared etc. You get the point.
- Humor. Make some situational humor, like if you tell a story about Italy joke about Italian moms and how they behave, just a funny anecdote that fits the picture man..or EVEN better: involve the audience by making a joke about the situation involving THEM.
For example a story about Amsterdam...blabla...you know how those Dutch people are always greedy with every little cent they have? Just like YOU get when you're around a bucket of that red-colored, deliciously spicy and crispy chicken from KFC Pete...etc.
- Attraction. generating attraction is about creating and releasing TENSION. Stories are TOO! Build suspense, involve you're audience by asking them: and what'd you think happened next? RIGHT after you convey you're coming with a punchline...off course they guess it wrong and then you say: noooo you dummy, girl you crazy. Try again...and then continue. Add emotions and detective-like settings (I looked around me but my bag was nowhere to be seen and then...in a flash...I saw something in the corner of my eye...it was...), that's right: adding EMPHASIS and...pauze to your stories all work well to build up tension. And then finally...release!

You can pick up women just by telling ONE story in the right way, and that's it. Just ONE story in the right way without introducing yourself, asking her name, whatever. Open > tell > sell (close), I did it many times myself...
